errors in your beliefs.

Disbelief of a deity just because you have never seen one. Yeah, we haven't seen one in the microscopic bit of the universe we've seen so they must not exist. We haven't seen a cure for some diseases, so they must not exist either and we should just euthanize anyone who has it.
Atheism is to not believe in a god, not the belief there is no god. There is a big difference.
Saying you believe there is no god would be ignorant as there is no way to prove or disprove god. However Atheists choose to not believe in a god, which is perfectly fine because god has not been proven - giving no reason to believe in him/her.
This same rule goes to Christians, Muslims etc. except they seem to break it once in awhile. Placing your beliefs solely in a book is your personal choice, but you may not use that belief as an argument (e.g. "How can Mary be a virgin if she has had a child?" typical response being "It says so in the bible" the christian's argument becomes invalid).
Basically, anyone can believe in anything they want, but you do not have the right to say what is wrong or right based on your belief - which has no scientific backup.
Scenario:
I believe my dog talks. Me and my dog have had long conversations that go on for hours on end. One night my dog said to me "you must kill the president" and so I did. I believe what I did was right because my dog had told me to do so and in my view my dog's words are almighty so you have to follow this belief as well.
