I've got an awesome girlfriend. I love being around her, she's just a fun person overall. Her only flaw is that she lives in Switzerland and I live in the US, but we see each other for two month intervals every three months or so, and I'm moving there in the fall.

It's great if you find a good girl. Most of the girls out there are shite, but if you find a good one there is nothing better than being with her.

It can be awesome, but it can also be a pain in the ass. In a lot of cases it starts off as the former for about 4-6 months, and then after that someone gets clingy and it develops into the latter.

I wish I still had time for dating lol my teachers have been killing me this week with so much shit to do.

It's amazing if you have a great girl that you love very much, but that is hardly true these days. Most people are in relationships to gain popularity, get to other people and date them, or just to have someone. Sure, having a girlfriend has it's downsides, but everything does, and like I said, if the relationship is meaningful and real, it will bring you much happiness and joy every day.

I think it's a really great experience. I've been with my girl for just shy of 6 months now and it's great. She's in college at the moment just down the road from my high school (I'm in grade 13, stayed back a year), and we see each other just fine. We both plan on being with one another for ever so I think it's pretty awesome.

it's a good experience but it's hard to find one who don't cheat on you =/

Quite a few of you seem to see a girlfriend as something materialistic. Quite a few of you seem to see having a girlfriend as: good for great sex, bad for everything else.
Quite a few of you seem to think all effort in a relationship has to come from the girl.

A relationship consists of 2 people, and those 2 people have to maintain that relationship with pretty much equal effort. Every relationship has its harder sides, but you have to see for yourself if it's all worth it.

If you only want a girlfriend for the sexual aspect, you will be a very lonely man when you get old.
I think that you should be able to talk about anything, have points where you can both talk about with interest, be interested in each others events in life, and so forth.

Being in a relationship is not a simple thing, but it's worth the downsides if you've run in to the right person.

A girlfriend is basically your best friend but you do stuff like hold hands, kiss, make babies (jk lololol), and you spend more time than ever with her than with your other friends.

Depends on the gal. Otherwise, its like being in a confinement. I wouldn't even think getting a girlfriend at your age, once you get older you'll have a better experience

Its nice because you have a companion. It is great to have someone to spend time with and have fun with. Getting sex is easier than when you are single.

It's a pain because you have to spend money on her and girlfriends can be whiny as hell.
