Judging by your post, you're definitely high OP. I don't do drugs, and I probably never will. Still, I respect anyone's decision to do drugs - even if it is generally the worst possible decision.

First let me say this: I am a recovering drug addict and do not use drugs anymore.

Marijuana is not chemically addictive. Now, that's not saying that it isn't addictive. It's just not CHEMICALLY addictive. For example, john doe has some problems in his life. They might be school related, they might be girlfriend related, whatever. As soon as he starts smoking when he has problems, it becomes a risk to get emotionally addicted. When you become a problem smoker is when you are going down the wrong path.

Marijuana affects the dopamine in your brain. Dopamine is the chemical that basically makes you happy. It's that simple. It just increases your dopamine level as well as tamper with certain nerves and stuff. Nothing serious.

When you start smoking regularly, (Let's say every day) After a while, your mind loses the ability to produce dopamine by itself. You need marijuana to be happy. Well, let me correct myself. You don't NEED it. It just makes life better. If you were to quit cold turkey you would NOT go through withdrawal symptoms and you would not be in danger of death. You would just be cranky for a couple of weeks until your brain developed that ability.

It CAN link to other drug usage, but does not always.

Weed is not chemically enhanced in any way. What messes you up and screws with the dopamine is THC. I forget what it stands for. It NATURALLY grows on the plant and has almost no lasting side effects. It can cause stunted growth and some rare cases of depression in teens and that's about it.

And there is mixed evidence linking smoking weed to lung cancer. Most researchers say it doesn't though, because weed is not coated with dangerous chemicals like cigarettes. It is just grown naturally.

I am not in any way disagreeing with your general statement that people here talk too much about weed. I'm just telling you why you get high when you smoke it.

You're right though. It can get annoying when a whole bunch of 14 year olds post threads about how they like drugs SOOO MUCH AND ITZ SSOOOO COOOLLLZZ.

I find myself in this category, but I wouldn't defend it until I die if I was proven wrong. I will explain my opinion until someone with some sort of logic or rationality comes by to show me that it is flawed, but I have never experienced anything of the sort.

Drinking has got to be the raddest thing ever. I love poisoning myself with shots and bottles of alcohol. I only had a case of beer last night, and I only drink every other weekend at parties, so I'm not an alcoholic and I'm not risking my health. I don't need my kidneys or stomach anyways. When I start to puke, I drink more. I enjoy getting my stomach pumped and dying several times in the hospital.

Marijuana is more healthy than cigarettes. Do you know how much shit they put in Cigarettes now? A study also has shown that to overdose from Marijuana..It would be almost impossible, and marijuana, the worst it does is make you really lazy and chilled out and makes your eyes red, if you have a job, don't smoke it. If you need a job, don't smoke it, because it makes you lazy :/

Marijuana won't kill you in small amounts. I'm sure taking a HUGE amount, like over 50 pounds in a short time would definitely kill you. But doing it occasionally, like once a month, wouldn't kill you.
