I need a new book I have read everything by chuck palahniuk. I don't know any other authors that I like so help a brother out Newgrounds. Looking for something no longer then 400pg unless it is exceptional.

The dark tower series is pretty epic, but obviously it's way longer than 400 pages.

You could read some of the classics, like catcher in the rye, or clockwork orange...

The Hobbit makes quite a good read. I'm about half way through it just now. I originally went out looking to buy the Lord of the Rings books, but surprisingly couldn't find them even in the local book store. Decided to pick a copy The Hobbit up since I didn't want to leave empty handed.

Life of Pi

It's what I'm reading now... it's strangly good. It's about an idian kid who's on a boat transporting zoo animals when the boat sinks. he ends up on a life raft in the middle of the ocean with a tiger.

"The Five People You Meet In Heaven" is another good one. It's short... and not about relegion. It's about a guy who considers himself a failure in life. He did nothing... then he dies. And when he dies he meets five people that explain to him how much his life actually ment.

Neither of the above two are epics... but I don't really like books that are bent on changing the world.

For a really good read:

You can never go wrong with Hemingway.... anything by Hemingway will do. I had just finished "The sun also rises" before I started reading "Life of Pi".

I'd love to read The Dark Tower Series and Catcher in the Rye, but A Clockwork Orange is among the top of my list of books to read, along with George R.R Martin's A Game of Thrones William Gibson and Bruce Stirling's The Difference Engine, as well as quite a lot of others. I finished reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time. It was a really fascinating read, fantastically written. One of the more bizarre books I've ever read.

I'd suggest a book called "The Traveller's"

Its got a little bit of sci-fi, little bit of history, and a whole lot of action.

The only book I've read... but thats the thing, I don't like books, and it isn't exactly a light read.

It depends on what you're looking for really.

Books like Men are Better than Women, The Alphabet of Manliness, and the Zombie Survival guide are all fair and good if you're looking for something that's not serious, but they aren't really novels but joke books.

For suggestions, I'd say if you're trying to get into an author or series, rather than just a single book (considering you're a Chuck Palahniuk fan), pick someone like Stephen King. Seriously, the man is good. I'd suggest some of his earlier works like It or Cujo, but really just pour over them first to see if you'd like it.
