iPods, useful or useless?

Well, we all know about the ipod models. the ipod classic, the ipod nano 3G 4G and 5G. the iphone 2G and 3G and also the itouch 2 and 3G. oh, and don't forget the ipod shuffle!

Now, hte ipod shuffle in kinda useless, the older models are 100% audio, no song display, newer shuffles 'talk'. Does that solve the problem? No, that would get SO anoying after a few days.

The ipod nano is OK. decet screen, memory and features! The newest even has a Videocamera+mic. Kinda useful but a real battery killer.... good for pocket storage though...

Now, the ipod classic, large storage, decent battery life but rather large in size and hard to store in pockets and hard to hide. another issue is the harddrives, the larger ones have them, those kill he battery faster than ipods using lfash memory. ipod classic is neither good or bad i guess.

now for the cooler ones.

Iphone, rather handy, WiFi compatable, cellphose uses, games, and more but all that will REALY kill the battery, plus a large screen that can break rather easily. Touch screens function shorter that regular LCD displays. OK, but need to have and onthego batery recharger, you can get those, but they are sometimes not enough.

The ipod touch, nice and all but just slightly different that the iPhone. nice, a ipod that is kinda filled with useless garbage.

Now, apple products are sweet but they have issues. after any ipod other than the iphone or itouch get older than 14, the warranty goes, things start to go and after 2 years, usualy the battery dies.

The other models, the touchscreen orglass breaks, then what?? Go fix the glass or get a new one? bolth are expensive. Great, so you spend $300 for a new itouch and then $200 in repairs and app use, almost $600 total if you buy a LOT! congradulations, you spent 200% more than you wanted to!

Useless, you can buy a nice 4gb Sansa for about $70, when an IPOD Nano is easily over $100, both are exactly the same thing.

But as usual, Apple loves to trick idiots into thinking they're buying quality because it's more expensive and has the Apple logo slapped on.

I have a pretty nice sansa, it tons cheaper, and just as good. It even has the same plug so I can use iPod docks.

I've never had an iPod, so I can't really say how good they are, but they are just mp3 players, so it seems like you're paying for the name rather than the functionality.

quite simply it is useful... both as something to both steel and then sell or use in the first place... i would steel a iPod or a Itouch or a Zune HD... i would stake the Zune and smash it cuz its no match for the Iphone... ha.
but really the usefulness of a multimedia player is incredible when you think about.. the world at your finger tips and all you have to do is speak and it will push those buttons for you...

I've had my ipod nano since 2005.

If you take care of it, it's not gonna die. They're pretty damn durable.

Well for me I need an iPod Classic to store all my music, the new iPod Touch could hold most of it, but I also have movies, and it couldn't hold them, plus it's $400. So for me the iPod Classic is really good. Never had any problems either.

Bullshit. The new classics are only slightly larger than the old iPod mini. Don't know what sort of pockets you have, but my iPod classic is smaller than my wallet. Battery life is fine when only playing music, I generally only need to charge once a week, but video eats battery insanely fast. I think you only get something like 8 hours out of it.

Yeah but the fact that the PSP can only have up to 16 gigs is a turn off, considering I have 84 gigs of music and videos on my iPod.

This might sound obvious, but the iPod Touch is pretty useless, unless you have lots of money to spend on the apps.

If your just looking for music, go with the Nano, cause I heard it shoots video now.

What is the fucking point of having something in HD when you only get 32GB of storage? What the fuck Microsoft? That's hardly enough to fit one film of HD on, and when you're putting HD quality audio on, albums are at about 200MB a pop!
