okay first off you can't transfer your old umds and buying them digitally is pretty much paying 30 bucks for everything even though almost all games can be found for less used. then, you can't transfer your memory because it uses a different memory stick. so they expect you to pay 200 bucks THEN probably another hundred on games and give up on your old psp completely

Actually.. Sony said they are trying to work on a way where you CAN transfer your old UMD's. Plus it comes with a 16GB hard drive. So it will probably be a little while before you even need to buy more memory.

im pretty sure sony said they are working on something so you can transfer your old games onto it. IMO it doesnt look horrible, a little pricey, but when it drops down to $200, im definitely getting one.

okay since i seem to be getting responses like this(^^^) i will clear something up. according to the latest information, they will not be able to allow you to transfer your old games due to copy right laws. if this doesn't make sense to you let's put it this way it's like giving everyone a free copy of said game. i hope this clears things up for everyone, and i still think the psp is a fine system, but the go is fail

This. Sony stated that it's still possible to transfer UMDs, and are stilling figuring ways out to work it. I think you will have to enter these digital codes on the back of every UMD (which you can see for yourself). Sony are labelling the games you can purchase and the codes that are in the UMD.

Sorry to double post, but the OP is a complete idiot. Since when did Sony say that it was going to replace the 3000 model? SINCE WHEN? No one's forcing you to get it.

What people don't understand is that the GO is targeted for people who don't have a PSP. I'll wait a month for the price to drop, also - digital download will be the future, I'm afraid. So whoever will get a PSP GO won't need to worry about saving up.

Just wait a month, people. It's the release of the console, it will go down quickly.

again, sony is working on fixing that. when, i dunno, but Sony is also on the right track with the PSPGo. since Digital distribution is dominating the market (look at steam and XBLA), and most likely will end up being the future of game sales, i think sony is doing it right, now i just want to know why a PS3, is only $50 more than this.

My main problem with the PSP is that there simply isn't enough games to make buying one worth it. The only game I really badly want to play is Persona, but even that isn't enough to make me consider buying one. When it comes to handhelds, Nintendo is always the way to go since there will always be a much bigger library of games.

Epic fail, the PSP has its fair share of good games but Sony has never done anything to really make it a stand-out choice over the Nintendo DS. Where's the second joystick? How hard would it be to put in seriously? Sony's lucky they're a big company.

what they mean is prpably a new consol, psp go disk thing, or like an attachement, so you can play them withowt copying. ANyway I think the way they put digital downloads is retarded, first you can't get like 1000 games because you won't have space, and they should have made a compleatly new consol if they would change the whole game format. It's like the 360 and 360 elite, if htey would have made it impossible to play 360 games on an elite, who the fuck would buy an elite for some more disk space.

they didn't put in in, cause its just like a new version of the first psp, like psp-2000 and psp-3000. If they put in a second analog stick, the older versions of the psp wouldn't be able to play the new games.
