Anyone remember this game? I've recently atarted playing it and it's pretty much become my favorite game of all time.

This is a butterfly fail.

I have yet to play it, but I have heard many good things about it, and I am desperately looking for a copy of it.

Has anyone out there seen it for less than fifty bucks?

You can get it on a ROM and an emulator, but since it's illegal I'm not gonna help you with that, despite how relatively easy it is to actually get.

Precisely!

Nah, I kid, I never played it. I'll get it on VC when it comes out, but that's it. I don't especially trust cult classics.

I don't think you'll ever play it, then.

I like that game, and it's one of my personal top 10.

The First Mother would have taken a little time to get used to be honest. I'm Still not even sure what I'm suppose to do with the Parakeet Chick that I've bought from Podunk Department store Basically I'm suppose to look for it's mother.
Are There any Walkthroughs for the first game?

It's been a while, but I think there is a walkthrough atstarmen.net. It's a pretty good one, too.

How can a game that takes place on Earth rightfully be called EarthBound? Chew on that shit for a while.

It's cool.

There is no such thing as someone who doesn't like the PS3, there is only poor people who can't afford one. PS3 owners pity you and hope you can one day get out of poverty.

I can't see images (blocked by a filter, server marked as 'mature') but if we're talking about the SNES game, I'm going to have to disagree.

That game was amazing. It's one of the few RPGs I actually enjoyed.

I beat it today. It was an ok game. I don't think it really lives up to all of the immense praise it has received, though.

That's always the way we feel about old video games, they just don't seem to hold up to today's quality standards. EB was better and more memorable than most RPGs of its time and a sequel to Mother 3 would make me very happy.

That is not always true. While I was not too impressed by Earthbound, I was awestruck by Chrono Trigger, and positively blown away by Terranigma. I find those games to be extremely enjoyable, even compared to some of today's games.

The final boss would have destroyed my mind if I had played it in my youth. In fact, at age 16, from the videos I've seen, it's still traumatized me.

I've played a bit of it, I enjoyed it immensely, and I hate RPGs, so that says something. Ness is of course kick ass and the battle system was cool and the dialogue was pretty funny and entertaining. It's so zany and weird.

Drop me a PM to talk about junk, serious or silly.

While the impressive amount of RAEG due to the extremely hard difficulty, somewhat slow progress and some issues with the party balance refrain me from calling it the BEST EVAR, but the dialogue and story was enough fuel.

the story that ranges from comic situations to plain weirdness, to cosmic horrors was excellent.

The game's is pretty much a punch in the face when you play it on emulator, (coded to do so), I am guessing that's why there are many complains about the game.

Worthy of a playthrough at least.

Chrono Trigger outshines pretty much all RPGs on SNES, closely followed by Super Mario RPG.

I have to say that the mother games are probably the best JRPGs there are along with the mario RPGs. Just because they are the only JRPGs that ive actually wanted to finish...this is all my opinion of course, but they just stand out from the rest of the JRPGs that play like watching some lame anime with the occasional random turn based battle.

Earthbound is not the greatest RPG ever, like the game's cult of fantards would like you to believe. Get these fuckers some Shin Megami Tensei, for Christ's sake.

This may be the greatest bump of all time, but I have to agree. I cried when I beat M3. And I'm damn proud.

Even though I'm pissed at Nintendo for spoiling pretty much everything important in M3 in Brawl...
