Newgrounds API

[Hi5er]

O so im a lil bit confused.

First I Registered my game.

Downloaded the files.

Put the file in the same folder as my flash (and .swf)

Blank keyframe on key 1 of main timeline in my flash. (Completely blank)

Put the given code in the actions panel (yes actions - frame)

On ctrl+enter (testing) output shows the connection to gateway was successful.

HOWEVER, no adverts / preloader has appeared. And I am fairly sure I have enabled adverts.

Am I doing everything right? Is it linked with when I upload my submission to newgrounds? (its not yet on newgrounds)

Can somebody clear things up please. Thanks.

It currently says it will be reviewed. Will the game need to be on newgrounds for this to be fully active then? And I havent yet activated the movie becaue it is not a submission as of yet.

Will I need to do so? And what about the pre-loader?

OK, good. Once your Ads are approved you'll start seeing Ads on the placeholder when you test your Movie (You won't get money from this of course :P). You can submit your movie at this point. But before you do, activate your Movie. You can activate it now if you want as long unless you plan to change the name or want to delete it from the API records.

As for the preloader, you can use the Preloader + Ad-Sticker or if you want to make your own preloader, just use the Ad-Sticker.

Il go and activate it now and im assuming the name I selected for my flash and the name of the file must be identicle for them to recognise each other?

And where would I find the Ad sticker / preloader? Is it in the file I downloaded containing the API code?

No, not the name of the file. The name of the title when you are submitting it.

Yes, it is in the .zip. Check the .fla, it should be in the library. There is one with the sticker & preloader, and one with just the sticker. But you must use one of them; how else are the Ads going to show?

All sorted and ads are now appearing in my flash.

And dont worry about your late reply, any help is appreciated. I need to start taking peoples names down for the credits :D

Look out for my game... im releasing it for halloween within the next 3 weeks.
