What do you think the best game Valve has ever made?
I think it would be Tf2 for multiplayer and L4d for singleplay.

Left4Dead would probably be my favorite but in terms of over all best and the most "epic" if you will, it would have to be the Half-Life series.

CSS? No way, man. CSS I thought ruined the CS time period. Half Life 2 for single player though, definitely. Multiplayer, TF2

Team Fortress 2 is by far the best multiplayer they've brought out. I still like Left4Dead, but it certainly doesn't match up to Team Fortress 2. For single play, the Half-Life series with Portal following closely behind.

I dunno I thought TF2 was better for a while but then I just stopped playing it. With CSS I always return to it. Plus I've clocked up quite a lot of time on it.

Doesn't that apply to any multiplayer FPS where weapons spawn at certain locations? Besides, there are many weapons that are equally lethal.

I think their best achievement is the source engine, hands down. While I love many of their games, none would be as good as they are if it weren't for source. Can I say the source engine? :D

No it does not, a good deathmatch FPS has balanced weapons. Unreal Tournament is a good example. Half Life is just so unbalanced it is not even funny. The guns are great for a single player game but this is a multiplayer game and it needs fixes to work rather then just leaving them as is. There may be weapons that are equal with each other but there are weapons that are just cut above the rest.

Gluon gun, tau cannon, bowgun, shotgun, machine gun. Lightning gun, rocket launcher, BFG. Rocket launcher, longbow, redeemer.
There will be weapons that are better, but I guess the only useless weapon in half life is the pistol.

My favorite single player is the original Half-Life and multiplayer is Left 4 Dead, just a tiny, tiny bit ahead of Team Fortress 2.

As much as I hate to say this, I don't play any Valve games. Only Valve games I've played are The Orange Box, on Xbox 360 (I know it's not as good as PC, but whatever). Going from this experience, I have to say Team Fortress 2.
