Whistle Was Reset After 1 Flag

Ok, today I woke up and my whistle status was Deity.

Nothing out of the normal.

About 3 hours ago my good chum Techno(His whistle linked me to a stolen flash in the portal.

We flagged, and it was taken out of the portal (marked for admin review).

And both my whistle and his whistle were both dropped to normal.

I couldn't believe it, I thought that even if it was falsely flagged, my whistle would only drop 1 level... not 4.

Does anyone know how this could have happened?

Most likely it was a few flagged submission you flagged several months ago and it was cleared today. What typically happens is that Wade or an another admin will do them all at once, so it wouldn't be just that one you flagged today.

I just saying on past precedent; I'm not an admin or anything and I doubt they will comment on it.

To back up what reverend said there.. I have a friend who had a Deity Whistle and hadn't marked anything for over a year. One day we woke up and there was the nice pink normal whistle. So yes, some old things that you marked such as movies or games that you thought were stolen could have finely been checked out by an admin and cleared.

Could be, after getting Bronze to Junk, I got Bronze again after some time without doing anything.

That is just frightening. I usually flag things that I know 100% are abusive reviews or a stolen flash, since I enjoy having a higher whistle - but the fact that something I flagged a year ago could impact my whistle power at any moment sorta sucks.

I'll just keep F5ing my userpage in horror.

Of course, the fact that I woke up one morning and my silver whistle had turned deity was also a shock, so it would seem fitting if I fell back out of deity status with the same unexpected swiftness.

That's why I've never stopped flagging, I whistled some UJ submissions my first few months here, then found out it could take any amount of time to get cleared.
Now I just stick to the 'fuck you' style reviews, a handful of day get deleted and I have my deity insurance.

1 or 2, or many more, penalties from mis-flagging a movie shouldn't cause that big of a drop. Either something happened with our system, or a review mod cleared with penalty a lot of reviews you guys flagged as abusive.
