the samurai art collab, revisited

Lets try this again. ReNaeNae please dont lock.
Ok. So this is basically what will happen. About 20 people will be chosen on a first come first serve basis to do 4-6 samurai illustrations for this art collab. You will also have to make a part of a story, almost like a picture book, but really really bada$$. Depending on when you join, you will get a different part of the story.

RULES: 1.the story has to be somewhat serious.
2.dont write 17 sentences for one picture ore something. keep it simple, like 1 paragraph or so per picture.
3.????
4.PROFIT!

Heres an example of what i will be doing. just a basic idea. and the image size is 500 by 500.

If anything a good size would be 1420 x 1280 at 300dpi
Picture quality is a big thing. 500 by 500 is just to small.

500 by 500 is actually a very common size for most collabs. Actually, many of the collabs running currently are actually at smaller sizes than that, such as the nintendo collab at 460 by 430.

The forgiveness thing is stupid, but Nae is nice so she wouldn't lock for no reason. But yeah, although better than before, it's still kind of a weak starting pic.

What about onna bugeisha(female warrior equilevant to the samurai as samurai is gender specific)? Can we do that too? There are also samurai wives that uses naginata or a kaiken...

He raises not 1 but several good points, and I don't think many people are or will take this collab very seriously. It's obvious you spent very little time on the starting picture, the lines aren't very good, the background is the leaf brush, and you didn't color inside your own lines.

And why do we need to make a story? This is an art collab, no? While it sounds good on paper, a collab of 20 different "writers" with no real prep time would be horrible. Not only that, you didn't even start off the story, what are we supposed to go by?

Probably the biggest concern with this collab is "first come first serve," the fuck is that?
So it is not based on skill it is based on who can post their work in this thread fastest.

okay.new imagesize is 599x700. storyline is now abandoned, just draw some badass samurai pics. yes, i am aware that the mape leaves re too small, and my innacuracy on that first picture. You may draw a samurai wife.pixel art isnt allowed. You may use whatever you want to make this, as long as it is hand drawn in some way. backgrounds aren't necisary. still, like 20 artists, 4 to 6 pictures each. no stick figures or crappy 2 second dawings. thats about it.
