I can't believe this shit man. This fucker is a fucking rapist who put his dirty cock into the vagina of a 13 yr old girl who couldn't defend and was drugged.
Fuck he has been avoiding jail for years. Justice was not served. If someone did it to your sister, can you forgive it? Wtf is wrong with Hollywood anyway? I am a guy but there is no fucking way to forgive this fucker. I probably would if it was consensual. It wasn't.
Man I hate Hollywood. This is ridiculous. Giving bad name to jews. Wait Woody Allen is a jew as well. Why is he dedending this bastard? Fucker.

Get jailed in LA and sodomized by Bubba.

Yeah, I really don't buy the argument that his merits as an artist out way the evil he did. Feel bad for the girl though, the media has ruined her life, and she said it herself that the media did more harm than the actual rape.

First. Can you show me proof that he did anything? If not, shut up.

Second, are you capable of writing a paragraph without swearing?

Its harder to take you seriously that way...

I agree he should be in prison. But as to why the hell we waited 30 years to try to get him from europe is what confuses me.

The whole fleeing the country a week before trial thing might hurt his case.

So much this. I was half tempted to play devils advocate and defend the guy in an effort to distance myself from sharing the same opinion as someone who could make such a post.

I thought we was tried, found guilty, had spent 45 days or so in lock-up and fled before sentencing.

Had he not fled, I'm sure he'd have been released a decade ago.

Given his flight, should he be rewarded with more injustice?

In my mind, Polanski fled to avoid death in prison, which is both understandable and morally acceptable (IF can still be granted moral righteousness). Seeing as how he is now captured, I hold he should be incarcerated for the remainder of his natural life. This would rectify his second insult to the law after he drugged, raped and sodomized a young child on US soil.

I would also support the prompt execution of Roman Polanski, preferably televised and documented for all the world to see and admire, to enjoy and reflect.... but that's just me.

I dont care if he is a talented actor, and that he did this long ago, and that people persieve 13 yr olds differently in europe, or all this other shit celebrities are saying to back him up. He should be fuckin' jailed for a long, long time.

It's rather unfortunate that such a great artist might have to go to jail, but you can't have one law for some people and another law for others.

Interesting thing though is that the victim says she forgives him and doesn't want charges pressed, or something to that effect, so it will be interesting to see how that works out.

Not only did he admit to it, he plead guilty, then fled the country and lived in France for 3 decades before they finally got em. now all these holywood types are trying to back him. I say lock em up and dont let em out until its time to bury em.

its one thing that seriously irritates me off about these big celebrity types is that the law is not enforced the same on them. it's like Martha Stewart was asked to report to jail when she was convicted of insider trading. anyone else would have been immediately remanded to prison. Same with pleading guilty to a child rape. why they let him walk free until his sentencing is beyond me and a massive blunder on the department of justice.

if nothing else, a foreign celebrity would be a greater flight risk, since it would be far easier for them to flee the country and seek refuge in a country with no extradition treaty.

The man did the crime, the man should do the time.

Polanski should be jailed for whatever time is applicable for the laws he broke in this case. Just because he's a great director and his wife was brutally murdered in the 70's doesn't give him a free pass. It makes the law a joke if we say "well, being a big celebrity means you don't go to prison". Of course we do that all the time in this country...so it's probably not changing here...especially since the victim is no longer actually 13 and when people see her now, they're seeing an adult.

I've done my research now (meaning I looked on Wikipedia) and I was surprised to find out that this Roman Polanski guy was not only involved in the Manson murders (well, he didn't commit any, his wife was killed by a Manson), but I was shocked to see he had also involved himself in this as well.

I think he meant that Polanski is more famous for his directorial work than acting.

In 1969, Polanski's 8 1/2 month pregnant wife Sharon Tate was murdered in Los Angeles by followers of Charles Manson. Polanski had been at his house in London at the time of the murders and immediately traveled to Los Angeles, where he was questioned by police. As there were no suspects in the case, police checked on the past history of Polanski and Tate to try to determine a motive. After a period of months, Manson and his "family" were arrested on unrelated charges, which revealed evidence of what came to be known as the Tate-LaBianca murders. Polanski returned to Europe shortly after the killers were arrested. Polanski later stated that he gave away all his possessions, as everything reminded him of Tate and was too painful for him.

You'll need to word them more properly, you sound like as if he's responsible for the killings.

Maybe Polanski can do the world a favor and off himself before he gets dragged back, kicking and screaming and whining about the misery of not having his daily caviar and champaign.

I've been confused as to whether it was consensual or not. For instance, his mini IMDb biography says it was. (Of course, it's still rape.) Finally, I found and read all of an interview of Samantha (his victim) from the trial, and I can now definitely say it wasn't consensual. She was resisting, afraid of him because they were alone, and she was crying afterward. However, she wasn't forced to take the drugs and alcohol, but that doesn't matter because she was obviously underage and Polanski offered them to her.

Yeah, I'd like to see him brought back to the US and serve his time in jail. I understand how Samantha feels about this now, but Polanski is not above the law just because he's a filmmaker. Justice has to be served, so this ordeal can finally be put to rest.

I didn't mean that. What I meant was, he just sounds like a very unfortunate person to be, as there's some crazy crap going on that his fault and some that isn't. I was actually thinking it was something like he became insane after the event leading him to this crime.

His life's been eventful from almost the start, remember there's the holocaust as well.

What happened to Sharon may have been something that would break the camel's back...

Personally , after 30 years the most important part of any of this...& this is just my opinion...
but whatever Samantha Geimer wants, is what should take precedence over anything else .
She wants the California Justice system, in particular those driving this case to drop it ! ! !

She wants them to fuck off...I say they should have to respect her wishes.
She's an adult with 3 children & doesn't want this shit plastered in the media & I believe everyone should respect her wishes.

Without her testimony, they really don't have a case. the original judge is dead, all this is doing is wrecking Samantha's life... & how is that goin gto accomplish anything good for her ?
She's already been given a settlement, even if she hasn't collected all of it, if/when he dies her lawyers will be able to get it from the estate .... my 2 cents.
