Three days ago me and my parents went to Indianapolis to get my dads tooth pulled, and everything seemed fine. The next day toward the end of the night I started to feel extremely hot underneath my covers, but when I pulled them off it felt like I was lying in a blizzard. So I took my temperature and it topped off at 102.7, so I told my mom and she said to take nyquil and just go to sleep. My school is about 10 miles from my house, and I was aching so bad that in my dream I was actually riding my bike to school. When I woke up around 6:00 a.m. the joints in my legs felt like they were being dissolved in acid. At 1:45 p.m. I went to the doctor thinking he'd just tell me I have a cold. That wasn't the case at all, he told me I had the swine flu and prescribed me cheratussin with codeine and some kind of flu medicine. That was a shock to me, but what he told me next was even nuttier. I can't go to school until I've gone for 24 hours with no fever and without any fever reducing medicine. He said I probably wont be going to school for the rest of the week.
It seems so weird, everyone in my school jokes around about being sick with the swine flu and now I actually have it. Anyone have any suggestions to maybe recover faster? Also, one of my friends told me to toke up, would that be a good idea?
