Have you ever recorded your voice then listened to it? You'd be surprised how different it sounds from how you hear it. I thought mine sounded stupid. You should get any recording device and do it now. You will probably talk different.

That's because you're voice usually sounds alot worse when recorded, unless you're using high end equipment.

I'm not so sure, I thought I had a pretty light voice , but when I recorded it , it sounded alot deeper.

As the sound of you voice gets altered by quite different acoustics in your head, it sounds very different to you than it sounds to others. Pretty much everyone will hate his/her voice upon hearing it for the first time when recorded.

Everybody says that I sound like a robot, but I don't even think about that as I'm talking.
But yeah, I did that just now. Recorded my voice and listened. I sound completely detached and emotionless whenever I talk.

it's so true. I think everyone hates the sound of their voice when played back to them. But whats really weird is the way no one (who isn't you) can understand the difference. Q: Is that what my voice actually sounds like? A: Yes.

Yeah, I really love my voice when I hear it, but when it is recorded I hate it, unfortunately everyone hears how I hate it.

I have this high pitched girl voice which makes me sound like I'm about 10 years old. It's ridiculous. And I've been told I'd be a good voice actor of a loli for an anime. Blah.

That's because the voice you hear when you talk is almost completely different from the one everyone else hears. It's normal to hate your voice after recording it for the first time because you've been used to listening to yourself in a certain tone your entire life.

Voices are 'enriched' by the vibrations made by your skull while you produce vocal sounds. That's why your voice sounds so fugly when you listen to a replay of it.

Well, i thought the same thing, i always had a low pitched voice, almost manly enough, in my head, but when i heard my own voice in a video.... that high pitched monstrosity.... >.< i freaked out, and was a whole day "Is THAT thing me?!" "Tell me it's another guy!!!

I hate hearing my own voice played back to me. But when I listen to my sister, it's funny because we sound the same pretty much.

Oh yeah. I have this deeper voice in my head and then when I hear it, I realize that it's kind of nasaly. Anyone who has heard me on Paltalk or Stickam could tell you.
