Computer totally crapped out on me!

So, i was just minding my business, surfing on cracked.com, when suddenly, my screen turned off and said 'No signal Analog.' So, first i tightened the connectors on both the computer end and the screen end. Nothing happened, except for the screen saying 'Still no signal, bitch!' So i unplugged all the stuff, opened my computer, tightened the APG video card and replaced the lost screw of the PCI-keeper-not-moving-er thing, hooked it back up. It displayed some random letters, some of them white, some blue, some yellow. And it only showed every other letter. I can only run this on safe mode, and it is still screwed up. Running XP 32 bit SP3. Screen is Viewsonic VG1921wm, graphics card is Nvidia FX 5200. Will post more pics of what it looks like later.

Try to reinstall your drivers to see if your card is just having a tantrum. If that doesn't work, then I think your card is toast. FX 5200 sounds like a really old video card. What year did you get it? It may be time for an upgrade. Also, do what andale524 said.

The problem is you are running an old graphics card that has just taken a crap on you. Your best option would be to get a new computer, but if you have a powerful enough power supply one of these 2 cards might help you for a while:
nVidia GeForce 7300GT (needs at least 350 Watts)
AMD Radeon HD 4650 (needs at least 300 Watts)

I reinstalled the drivers. Still shit, now i can barely get it to boot in safe mode, and when i try to boot in normal, it shows an assload of coloured dots and white bars.

Speaking of pcs crapping out. My PC crapped out a few times but I was able to fix it and it's still running. 6 years still running!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^-^

Just to clarify what has already been said: YOUR GRAPHICS CARD IS DEAD; BUY A NEW ONE.

There are some really cracking AGP cards still knocking about, such as the PNY Verto GeForce 6200, which I just installed in my mother's computer (she can now play Crysis on max settings).

Although it's probably time to just buy a new computer, yours sounds kinda old.

Yes. But it did remind me that it has no signal. Now it doesnt even boot in safe mode, i just get the flickering dots and the wierd black smileys. Gonna take it to my pro friend, he is going to try another gfx card, another hard drive and if nothing else works, he will format it and reinstall windows. And how the hell am i supposed to shit cash for a new computer, when i just spent it all on a minihifi set, kickass headphones, a new chair and a bookcase?
