I'd go to the time where time machines exist and ask them to fix it for me so it doesn't implode. If not, I'll steal one. If that doesn't work, I'll find a way there to get my memory removed 30 minutes in advance, then get back 25 minutes before the time machine implodes.

The 1 hour time limit is relative. It all depends on how much time a time travel takes. If it takes more than 1 hour then there is no point getting on board. On the other hand we humans have a variable that can ruin any prediction or calculation: the freedom of choice.
