What have I done!? (wii hate rant)

My dad n I are complete nintendo junkies, 4 months after Wii was released we got our grubby lil hands on it. We had so much fun with it for about 2 weeks.

Then it all went horrible, horribly wrong. We began ignoring it. Poor little guy still gathers dust to this day. Then SSBB came out.

My dad and I went apeshit and bought it immediately, It gave us 3 weeks of fun at most. The Twilight Princess, 4 days because the GC version was better. Never again was a good game released on the wii.

And my dad, trying to justify his purchases refused to buy a ps3 or 360. He forced himself to play wii bowling and twilight princess. Poor fella still sits there just flicking his wrist.

Buy some VC games.

I have a Wii and a decent PC, and I have a surplus of games that I haven't even managed to play yet on Steam since they are so cheap sometimes, as well as getting to enjoy all the Nintendo 1st party games that I enjoy so much. Twilight Princess takes like.......50 hours to beat so I don't know how you managed that in 4 days.

I still play Brawl to this day (well, Brawl+ technically).

I actually play it competitively as well.

For me my Wii has already been well worth the $250 I spent on it, every thing I buy for it past now just increases the value even more.

If I ever bought another console it would be a PS3 as they actually have a good number of exclusives. All the 360 has is Halo and Gears which I don't like anyways :\

I get amazing deals on Steam so I have lots of games on it, and I also play a variety of great Freeware games that I have found. Really the only game system you need is a good PC, and I would put Wii as second since it's relatively cheap and has so many exclusives/VC/Wiiware/It's easy to hack.

Pray tell, how was Twilight Princess better on the GC?

All i could think while playing TP on the Wii was that the combat system worked so much better than Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker, mostly due to the Wiimote controls.

Yes, please, do tell how the inferior system would have the superior version of the game! Honestly, the only part of the game I really liked was the controls.
Recently, my Wii has seen a lot of use, since my birthday just rolled around and I ended up with Rune Factory Frontier. I see your point, though. The really good releases on the Wii are rarely close enough together to hold interest in the system. Even my Wii sees long periods of disuse (except for GC games).

I feel your pain, bro. I feel so guilty whenever I look at my Wii, right next to my PS3. *sigh*, I just try to think that it's not my fault, and that it's nintendo not making ANY good games. Why did everyone want one back in '06? Then a month after I got it, I just stopped playing my Wii. Oh well...

No, no, no, no, and more importantly no. I have the wii, it's collecting dust. I hate the Wii due to lack of good games, not because of graphics. I usually don't give a fuck about graphics unless they're an eyesore.

Wii is a smarter use of money but you have to actually buy all the great games for it.

XBox360's are a complete waste of money because you could use that money towards a PC that can play most of the same games plus a MUCH better selection of exclusives(not to mention that with Steam, I NEVER pay $50 bucks or more for my games, the highest I've bought a game at is $40 I think). PS3's are just expensive (although I think they aren't any more since they got a price drop, It's still $300 +$60 for any games you want), so you better do the math beforehand and see if the games your wanting is worth the purchase.

That's what they said about the Sega Dreamcast and Saturn. Not even Segata Sanshiro could stop that from happening.

At the moment, I like the PS3 more than the Wii just by a bit, but there's more interesting games coming for the Wii than PS3 this year. For me that is.

I'm a huge Resi fan who believes Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles will be Wii Game of the Year, Deadspace Extraction looks pretty good, New Super Mario Bros. Wii has me skeptical, but never has a Mario platformer disappointed anybody.
