Intelligence Dulling From Ng Bbs?

Have you ever taken a look back at your old posts, and noticed that through the months/years you've been on, you've actually been become less intelligent than before? I've looked back at when I only posted in "Video Games", and I have noticed quite the change in my post's intelligence factor. I used to only post long, though out posts, but now I've been reduced to even have such posts that simply say "lol", "TL;DR", and "Successful troll is successful."

Sure, some of my posts may retain an ounce of intelligence, but I noticed that the BBS has lowered my IQ by a significant amount.

Has anyone else been feeling rather dull lately?

The BBS can be as bad as /b/ on one of those days. Quite honestly, the intelligence of the forum as a whole drops as time goes on.

This. A long post is only a good post if the reason it's long is because there's a lot of content and not just because the user is ranting and rambling.

This also. I used to post a lot of one liners and really sort, effortless posts, particularly back in 08. Thus, why I have 15000 posts. But now, I try to put at least some effort into my posts.

Same here. After seeing the amount of just pure horror that my old posts look like inspired me to start posting better. I was 16 then and sweet jesus that's horrible.

Making short posts just means that you either A. don't have anything interesting/witty to say on the matter or B. don't really care. Most short posts don't add anything to the discussion and aren't overly funny either.

Actually, the BBS keeps my intelligence high, because the longer I stay, the harder I need to try to put together coherent sentences without them resulting in improper heaps of fail.
