Well I decided to start one of these threads. I needed some opinions before I color this because I need to practice my CG coloring. Anyway here is my first WIP. C&C would be greatly appreciated.

My only suggestion is to maybe throw in some more texture (e.g. folds in clothes etc. ), which should make the colouring in more interesting to do and to look at.

The clothes do look crappy and I will try to work on them. I need to get a better understanding of clothing because its always been a bitch to me. To tell you truth btw I never really played Tomb Raider. Never Really Had the chance. My inspiration was Alice from the Resident Evil Movie series. And the clothes were drawn after lookinh at a lot of Tank Girl Picture that actually had more then a bra on.

I like everything but the guns. They look really bleh. Try cleaning those up a bit and the picture will look so much better. Not that it doesn't look good otherwise, though. ^_^ Good work.

Darkened the outlines for a clearer view, redrew the guns, tried to fix the clothing thing and tried to add a little more folds here and there. I also need to find a way to make my lineart smoother with the tablet, any suggestions?

Use a small eraser about twice the size of the "pencil" size you used. And set its hardness to 95%

Also, a good idea is to draw your "presketch" and framework on a layer under the line work, so you can simply delete the it and not worry about messing up line work trying to erase the sketching. Another thing, us a bright color such as red or blue (I use light blue) for your line work so that it's easy to tell sketch from linew ork.

It's a WIP(I should actually finish something once in a while.) I'm working on. I wanted to do something completely digital but with an old chines painting feel. I'm using Jamie Hewlett's monkey design from Monkey Journey to the west and I'm liking How it came out considering I sketched this in about 10 minutes. The current colors a guideline I'm gonna be using for the clean version.

Now that I look at that, those feet are rubbish. I need to fix those as soon as I get working on it tomorrow after school.

both super cool especially if you colour them gd, though i will say with the first one the hands look a little flat and i can't see the thumbs so i would suggest putting in a bit more of a curve to the ends of the gloves and adding in them thumbs.

I used photoshop and a wacom bamboo tablet. I used a bush at the size of 3 to get the lineart with size change set to pen pressure.

I use similar technique.
You definitely show potential! I like the gradient shading you do.

Who doesnt? I do the same with my linearts, except that I normally have bolder lines, so a bigger brush size. That allows me be all sketchy and have multiple strokes make up one line.... On my non lineart pieces I usually use alpha pressure sensitive. that way I can do shapes and basic shading in one go.

You definitely show potential! I like the gradient shading you do.

agreed^

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I kinda lost interest in those last 2 WIPs because of all the schoolwork i have been doing but I managed to whip up a a couple of decent pictures here and there.
Here is one I whipped up for a side project I'm doing musically I'm calling The Swagga. I'm not exactly sure what I thought In my head when I drew this but as I drew this is what came out of it. I just basically used flash and a tablet. I like the simplicity of this pic and I would like to further develop this style too.

Yay! I'm actually done something! Alert the presses!

Anyway, did most of the coloring in one sitting tonight since I have to give it to my friend tomorrow. I still have no Idea where I can find a color printer on such short notice.

First drawing of 2010. Was trying to get a watercolor kind of feel to it, I guess. Tell me what you think.
