I saw a movie where a pistol can 1 shot kill in Black Ops...so maybe they removed stoping power but the base's fire power has ugraded.

Thats a special Gamemode, One Shot. You start with a pistol and one bullet. Every kill gets you another bullet, untill you die. If you run out of ammo you have to knife. Looks pretty fun, as you get major CoD Points.

Sry i haven't posted in a while, but looking at recent posts i have to say, i AGREE, STOPPING POWER IS AN ANNOYING PIEVE OF SH*T!

These new game modes add a lot of vaule to the game IMO. This also expandes all the stuff we can do as a Crew. Now we can have Wager Match " Casino Nights" Gun Game Tournys all kinds of awesome shit.

I would also like to propose that we design some sort of NG COD:BO Class. With all the customization in the game, it would be cool t have a team of guys with matching Gun Camos, Stickers, Red Dots ETC. Just another thing to let people know who they are being handled by.

Finally, as long as everything goes to plan I WILL HAVE A NEW SLIM PS3 TONIGHT!!!!!!

Anyway, from what I've gathered, Call of Duty is actually doing something innovative for once (Wager modes), Stopping Power's gone, there's an AUG A1, there's an L96/AI96, dogs are back, zombies are supposedly back, and other good stuff.

That's not to say that there aren't things I don't like about it, but it's looking nice so far, I suppose. Still mixed on whether or not to get it, though, since it looks like a MW2 mod with less flaws and weapons that make a titchy bit more sense.

Also it's apparently been confirmed that there are only 5 prestiges and a level cap of 50 in Black Ops, although Treyarch say that it takes as long to get to 50 in BO as it does to get to 65 in World at War, and that there will be tons of rewards for prestiging which includes exclusive gun camos, challenges and more stuff for Create-A-Class 2.0

I love the new Wager modes! I thought Killzone 2 was competitive but this shit boggles the mind. Also, wasn't Gun Game originally from Counter Strike than CoD4?

Good to see that Stopping Power, Juggernaut and Martyrdom are now gone. A lot of self styled "pros" relied on Stopping Power too often, let's see how they deal with that.

Don't understand what the uproar about Care Packages are about. Some of the packages will have rare weapons like an RPG or minigun, which means fewer killstreaks in packages and possibly a lesser likelihood of a Chopper Gunner in a box or whatever. Also, have you guys forgotten how to steal a care package or something? Quit bitching about my game. :P

So my team are barely winning this close match, the score is 6700-6500. Some scrub on the enemy team gets an 11 killstreak (in this case, a Chopper Gunner) from his box of skill which he got for 4 kills. With absolutely no cover in sight, we constantly get spawn raped, even when we equip a Cold-Blooded and Stinger class.

Can you see why that is infuriating? The biggest reward from a care package should be no more than an airstrike, not some overpowered plane of death or helicopter gunship.

I think you're exaggerating there when you say it's a typical game. It sounds to me that you had a couple of bad losses from someone lucky enough to get a Chopper Gunner. It would be infuriating and there'd be a demand for it to be fixed if this was a frequent problem, but a scenario like that is not the norm. Also, I like the idea of finding something powerful in one of the care packages, you get the same kick out of it like you do when you find a Ray Gun in that glowing weapons box of mystery from Nazi Zombies, it makes you go "Alright, I'm going to kick some ass with this!".

I'm not exaggerating, this happens way too often. IW ignored the fact that random bullshit like the care package has no place in an online shooter, and that's why there has been so much demand to have this fixed, but of course, we're talking about IW here so nothing will get fixed now.

Luck plays a part in it (not just with regards to your chance of getting a high end killstreak, but in all combat), but skill and knowledge of the game are the main factors that will determine who wins consistently. Still, if you wanted to go about getting a Chopper Gunner from a care package, then first you need that 4 killstreak to get a package, then you need to hold your ground to capture it, and then you find out whether you get whatever killstreak reward you were hoping for or not. It could also be argued that stealing fpackages from your enemies is skillful, as you need to take them down quickly before they recover the package and spot you.

Those are norm games for me, and its always a Lv30-60 dude, un-Prestige and No-idea how to use one. So they will just spray with a chopper gunner, Or Spam the 105mm on The AC130. The matchmaking also sucks. Im 8th55 and I still get put in games full of U- prestigers, All under Lv55.

So when I play team games, all my team sucks. I end up Capping ALL the flags in Dommination, Defusing ALL the bombs and Planting ALL the Bombs. But when they get the Flag in CTF, they just sit there. Even after all this I just end up rage Quitting, because of some twat Tac-Knife Commandoing our Spawn. I wouldn't mind without commando, but our team dont even Kill him. They stand there looking At him, waiting for him to come closer thinking they're faster.

And its not even the LeaderBoards. I've checked and everyone around me Are 10th (Stupid Lobby) and Gone up to 20pages down, still 10th.

But Im now losing sleep over the BO Reveal trailer. it was so damn Good, I just kepp thinking about it.

I know this game is not your typical FPS and it can be very frustrating when you get unlucky and that all the shit seems to be falling on your head all the time. But dude... MW2 was not meant to be like CoD4. That's why you can still play CoD4 and enjoy it.

The worst in this game is certainly not the random killstreak rewards thingies... It's still... and will always be... Stopping Power...

You're losing sight of the argument here. We're arguing over whether there is skill involved in obtaining/defending care packages, not how easy or difficult it is to acquire/defend one. There is no bias towards either team for higher end killstreaks, this is just your personal account of multiplayer.

Say you went up against someone who lagged a lot or did something to piss you off like trash talk you. If you were to get your ass handed to you continually then wouldn't you be itching for some payback? Luck like that can help you score that, even if it's just a little victory. Switch roles here and you'll see that it really is a minor victory, and if you're confident in your skills then you'll know yourself that you're a better player than he or she.

People have got to stop being so short sighted in this aspect everytime they lose a game.

It doesn't take that much skill to get 4 kills in a row. However, doing that a few times in a match is not given to everyone.

How can you tell a good player from a bad player? I think that the kill/death ratio is kind of important here. Maybe we don't all care about it. But usually, if you come across a guy who has 1.50 k/d ratio. You can consider that he his somewhat above average, as 1, would be the average score. I think that if you play 1 for 1, you are pretty much average.

Then, a guy who plays average can still get to 4 kills in a row every once in a while. If he does, he still need the skills to recover the care package and he still needs the luck to get a good killstreak reward.

I would say... that it takes both luck and skill to get there... Or and UMP45 with Stopping Power, Commando and Marathon to be all over the map, teleport knife kill people and get 2 bullets kill on every single time you come across someone, no matter how far away from you he can be.
