I think he may be right. Last time I checked the Middle East was the original place that humanity settled followed by Africa (I think?) and then more of Asia and Europe. The bridge between Alaska and Russia is what led some people to the Americas.

I took world begging to 1500 a.d. world history not to long ago, and we learned the human race originated in central africa, they moved south deeper into africa and north-east into the middle east at the same time, spreding out. Then they moved, in this order through asia, into europe, then last over the land-bridge. Once in "the americas" they moved south and filled out the land. They had carbon dated fossils and shit to prove it and people devote their life too this shit so, I pretty much belive it.

Oh yeah, I think you're right. You see, when I was learning about ancient history, I kept learning about places like Mesopatomia which is in the Middle East but I think my problem was I wasn't thinking far back enough. This is more about not when civilization began, but when society as a whole began, or at least modern humans.

Actually, I wouldn't call him a socialist. He's more of a kleptocrat, especially doling out public finances to banks and making the government undergo an austerity program, which conflicts his healthcare objectives. People will be paying for his and Bush's policy, years down the line especially when the "recovery" begins (reinflating the housing bubble).

Races are arbitrary and do not biologically exist. The best thing the government could ever do as far as the imaginary "human races" are concerned is to ignore their existence as cultures.
