Ok, So i been using windows like all my life and i have always thought they were shit and rubbish. but never new much about anything else out there.

But for my 17 birthday i got a Macbook (apple) and well WOW it is sooo much better than windows i cant find any problems with it. apart from little software things.

So How much does everyone else Rate Apple? or Windows?

All Mac Vs PC ads should consist of:
"Hello, I'm a Mac."
"And I'm a PC."
"So, Mac, played any cool games lately?"

Or similar.

I don't like Macs because of the non-gaming possibilities.

It's because you don't know how to use Windows, Macintosh is for n00bs (e.g. old people).

Very good combination IMO.

Windows XP on a good enough Mac PC means extreme performance.

I like Mac computers more, as they are really easier to use and all. Windows is for either your average Joe or your l33t h4X0rz guy. Actually, the h4x0rz guy would probably go fer Linux, so Windows is for yer average people.
Macs are gonna get you laid.

I think it should go more like:
'Hi, I'm a Mac.'
'And I'm a PC.'
'Sooo, PC, How're things goin' for you?'
'Pretty well. I'm modestly priced, but still highly profitable. And I'm pretty much compatible with anything; Seeing as how most programs are designed for me.'
'Well, I cost more.'
'Yep.'

Because all computers are supposed to do is play games.

As someone else said, neither is better, it depends on what you like.

Honestly?

same shit different needs.

My pc?
It can't do the things i need musically for my recording studios that my mac can do for me.

My mac?
it can't do art things that i can do on my pc.

The solution?
Bought a mac and put both on it.

?????

Wow now i don't have to complain about anything.
Now that is what truly wins.

So mac i'd say.
The games excuse is kind of old. older gen games aren't for the mac technically but it's not to hard to change that you can't play them on your mac.(newer games are generally for both nowadays.)

Overall there really isn't much of a difference.

Always happy to review. Just ask.

well the main thing thats wrong is that if you want to uprage the macbook you have to buy a new one and the old one goes the way of "old yella" by taking it behind the shed and shooting it
but seriously
apple mac's have got the reliablity factor
much more than windows (which crashes often )

I don't use Windows, Mac OS, OR Linux. I use an operating system so powerful that a 200MHz piece of crap can run anything. My OS is very, very expensive, but I really don't give a damn as it comes with my computer of choice. My OS is HP-UX.

The biggest downside to apple is the proprietary hardware. You'll find that out if anything breaks. They don't always back up their warranties as they view it cheaper to fight a lawsuit than actually replacing all of the crappy parts they put in computers that only they can replace.

there should be an ad that goes like this:
PC: Salutations, I am a PC
Mac: Hi, I'm a mac
PC: So, mac, played any games recently?
Mac: no, but PC, have you been laid recently?
PC:... touche.

they both have their flaws.

I concur. Ever tried to disassemble an iMac?

The only three real differences between Windows and Mac are:

1. Macs cost more for the same amount of money (but that goes for all Apple products).

2. Windows is compatible with just about everything, and you'd be fairly hard-pressed to find any major potential employer that doesn't have an unspoken "Windows Only" computer policy.

3. The commercials make me want to kill people for Apple's inability to actually say what Macs can do, and instead paint a caricature of Joe McHillbilly's virus-ridden computer.

My biggest problem with the Mac's is that you can buy a vastly superior machine with the same money you spend on the basic desktop apple...
You can buy a vastly superior computer and buy software that is practically the same as what the Apple Mac has, all cheaper than the basic dekstop model...

Why the fuck do they cost so much anyway? With such inferior hardware?

Shouldn't the title be "Apple Vs Microsoft" or "Mac Vs PC" or "Macintosh Vs Windows"?
Anyways I dislike the apple commercials constantly bashing PCs rather then bashing Microsoft. I have Linux which happens to be even more secure then a mac OS. There commercials make it seem like all PCs get viruses which is untrue. It is not a hardware issue, it is a issue with the operating system, and a shitty user base. I can install a operating system on my PC that won't get viruses because the PC is just a piece of piece of hardware viruses are only software.
