Everybody says that every year is bad, when, in reality, every year has been the same as every other year. People just like to complain.

I was coming on here since 04, but not too normal like I do nowadays.
I didn't make an account til 07.
However, when I browsed in 05 it seemed amazing at the time, i dont know bout 06.

Also, the longer you're on the forums, the less appealing they become. When I first started going on the BBS, I was like HOLY SHIT THIS THE SHIT MAN, and so I would say that 07 is the best year, and 08 was OK, and 09 is lame, while someone from 05 would say that 05 was the best, 06 was OK, etc.

I have no clue on '06, but I know '08 and '09 are/were shit. Except the occasional sirtom, phisher, dickneck, or troll, it hasn't been too great.

I would browse NG back in 06-porn ads and all that shit-it was crazy. Things have actually toned down, now we don't have animated porn ads on the frontpage and (don't kill me, its an opinion) the design looks better now than it did before. I finally made an account in 07, still love this place and visit it practically every day.

2006 was when Newgrounds really started to become popular. So a lot of older users are just grumpy that they didn't have their naps yet.

The beginning of 06 was good, the end of 06 gotten worse.
07 wasn't the best year, but it was the epic year.

I would have to agree with this statement. 07 was a terrible year for Newgrounds, until the redesign.

Nowadays it is so much easier to browse users and vote and watching videos is amazing. So as the years progress the site gets better, but not neccessarily the submissions.

I seem to remember flaming like you wouldn't believe back in 2006.
