I made my 46x46 icon and I tried it but it said only .gif's so i made it a .gif but it still comes up with only .gif error. Why doesn't it work my pictures a gif now?

Make sure there is no transparency in the image, no animation, and within the filesize restraints.
Otherwise, you may just want to try at a later time. Could just be a temporary random error.

there's none of that. just a normal picture turned into a .gif and only weighs 16kb

The issue i found with that is when i make an image and save it as a jpg with-out thinking NG won't upload it if I just changed the file extension to .gif. Try re-opening the image, paint/photoshop/PSP or whatever and re-save it as a .gif and a different file name, or in a different location.

Yea I finally got it! i put the picture in paint and save it from there. It killed the graphics and it still didn't work so i tried uploading it 5 more times and on the 5th time it final works.

Hey everyone - I'm having an issue with icons as well.. slightly different. I want to update the icon for one of my old submissions but when I go in to edit the submission, the icon entry field isn't there at all. I know I used to be able to do this because I've edited icons in the past - has this functionality been removed?
