I'm getting surgery soon on my toe.. Ingrowing Toenail. And i'm having a few needles.
But, i have a phobia.. and i want to conquor it.
Do needles hurt badly?

Is an ingrown toenail surgery? I thought it was a simple procedure that took around 5 minutes.
I had it done twice where the dude numbed my toe with a needle, then started to cut off the infection caused by the nail.

They really don't hurt, but I do also got that phobia....I just don't like the view of a needle sticking deep on my skin, best way is too look away.

not really. They hurt when they stick it in you, but then it's just a small pain. Sort of like a pinch. but do you know if they'll be giving you something to numb the pain? If so then that'll hurt, but then afterwords you won't feel a thing.

Yeah that's it. But the thought of a needle going into my toe scares me.

Well i had my Toenail removed as well, they go in pretty deep with the needle and the first like 3 will hurt. but then the local anasthetic kicks in and you dont feel a thing.. appart from your toe will feel really big and puffy, Like its full of water.

i had to get surgery on my toe to. i had to get 4 shots and they hurt like a bitch even with that numbing spray. they said the needles are bigger for some reason.

The feet are the less sensitive part of the body, so it shouldn't hurt. I got my wisdom teeth removed and getting stung in the ceiling of the mouth wasn't fun, but I got stung in 9 places total and only that one was painful.
It'll be alright, if anything the pinching sensation will last a fraction of a second.

Get an iPod and some decent headphones. Drown out distractions and close your eyes. You'll barely know the needle poked you.

Also, just make sure you're very calm. Don't think about it happening. Hyperventilating and tensing up will only make it hurt more.
It's hard to overcome, but you can do it.

Needles don't hurt, really.
What hurts sometimes is the drug they're injecting. For example, when I got my HPV shots, they burned quite a bit when the drug was injected into my veins. However, I haven't heard of anesthetics burning, so you should be fine.

I've only felt them in my mouth (gums) and all it is is a little pinch. If you're really afraid of it then it will seem like it hurts, but it's all in your head.
Literally take your nails and do a quick pinch on your toe. That's what it actually feels like; the rest is in your head.

Got a blood test this Saturday and I can tell you this, needles don't hurt, they're quick and painless. I've never been afraid of needles, even as a kid they didn't bother me.
