This year has gone too quickly...

The new year at university for me will officially begin tomorrow, and whilst I'm looking forward to it, it'll be a shame for this summer to end. It's definitely been a good one.

Obviously it's not QUITE the end of the year yet, but it's nearly October, which is getting close. 2010 seems like it should be much further away :P

Is it just me who feels like the year has flown by?

This year is going by incredibly slow for me. I can't wait for it to get over with.

I agree, 2008 doesn't feel that long ago. It seems like 09'ers are still very new, while they don't really have to bed.

Anyway, I do believe things like these have to do with what you experienced in this time. Probably a lot of fun, otherwise the time wouldn't seem like it passes fast.

Yeah, 2009 has is fucking me and moving on, basically. I can't believe I'm a sophmore in high school -- it feels like I was just stepping out of 8th grade yesterday. I don't know, next time I look I'll be heading into college.

School year is already flying by for me, I can't believe I'm about to start my third week of school already. It seriously feels like I just walked into my high school for the first day of school.... yesterday.

I now understand why older people say that their youthful years went by so fast, or that they can remember something when they were teenagers like the day before. But I can only feel that it'll get worse as I get older.

I Watched Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring last night, realized it came out in 2001. 8 years ago.

I find myself often finding thinking of experiences that happened in 2009, but at first thinking they happened in 2008. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but it could be a way of saying 2009 went fast too.

I think the year, for myself, has gone by too quick as well, but again, it's probably just the fact that I'm not going to be classified as a teenager for much longer. I "start" uni on Tuesday, and you know, it's that end-of-an-era feeling right now, the era in question being living at home all the time. My own thoughts on it all aside, at the start of the year I was still a student over at college; it doesn't feel like it was this very same year, if you get me. This year for me has been interesting to say the least, but I haven't really done much up until this week... so yeah, I blame the age thing... and the art of time wasting. I don't know. It makes me sad in its own way.

The Matrix came out like, 10-11 years ago now, IIRC. I still remember watching that movie for the first time...

I actually remarked today that Christmas doesn't seem that far away. Soon it'll be October and money hungry retailers will be trying to push Christmas decorations and gifts on us once again.

I'm more surprised about how close we are to the next decade. It feels like it's taken forever for this decade to go but now we're almost through it. But yeah, this year has definitely gone quick and I've barely done much for most of the time.

It's odd, near the beginning of the year it felt like it would never end.

09 went no faster than it should have gone. As far as I'm concerned it wasn't much of a year on Newgrounds, nothing going on but the Art Portal and the antics of some kid from New Zealand. The Portal is in decline, the BBS has lost its "fresh" feel, there's not many submissions coming through, and I have no idea what to do. Maybe 2010 will be better, and Tom or Wade will think of something.

I always thought the first half of the decade was rather slow but the last 2 or 3 years have definitely gone by quickly.
