I got hired!

I recently contacted this organization known simply as Illinois Chess Teachers. I was interviewed and got the job. I basically will help run one hour classes with another teacher where we teach grade school children the rules of Chess. I work about an hour every weekday, and get paid fifteen dollars an hour. Only down side is I only get paid once a month. It will also look great on future resumes.

I think I 'm going to look for a second job at my school. With two jobs I could have my classes for the year paid for in just a few months.

It feels great to be employed again!

I know, which is why I am considering the second job scro. I only have classes two days a week, so I'm going to see if there is any way of getting extra hours. At this point, I am fine with having some source of money so I can take the load off my parents' backs.

Good on ya mate .i get about 200 a month and im 5 years younger than you so i would suggest the second job and some flash revenue and also find a job from NG.

Nice. I should be making at least 300 a month. About the same I made at Coldstone, not including weeks I did over time. This way I don't have to sing whenever some asshole drops a single in a jar. After applying to seven places in one month, I'm glad to have found a job with dignity. Like I said, it will be great to put on a resume. I'm sure those other places were not impressed with and job making ice cream.

Still $15 an hour is pretty good for someone his age.

^^ but it's a job nonetheless and he atleast has some form of income, congrats on the job OP! :)
