Today is the International Talk Like a Pirate Day! Allow me to show you this wikipedia article explaining it.
As a crazy spur of the moment experiment, we organized a contest where voice actors submitted pirate skits to the Audio Portal and artists animated their favorites. The outcome is in progress but here are some thus far:
While the Power of Three game festival is just getting off the ground, it's a great example of the quality you can achieve when artists, programmers and musicians team up. The latest, Time Kcuf, landed Edmund and company on MTV, Destructoid and a bunch of other gaming sites!
Pirate Day is just a hint of what happens when voice actors team up with artists. There are plenty of other great examples across the site, such as Egoraptor and TomaMoto teaming up on the Girlchan series.
I hope these events encourage more people to collaborate on NG. It's a great way to enhance your teamwork skills and forge relationships that can last a lifetime.
On the calendar you'll see a Cuboy game is coming on Wednesday, September 30th. "Cuboy: Back to the Cubeture" makes extensive use of voice acting and may inspire more developers to have voice work in their games. ;)
In terms of general community collaboration, we need 12 great pieces of art for the Newgrounds 2010 calendar! The deadline for submissions is tonight at midnight so HUSSLE HUSSLE if you want to make an attempt.

OK back to work on this game for Madness Day...
