So you think your job is bad?

Do you really think your job sucks? Allow me to fill you in on my day at work today, just so you can get a feeling of what it's like to work in hell- er, I mean Center City McDonalds.

Roughly an hour after I clocked in today, a middle-aged heavyset gentlemen (yes, I'm typing this way on purpose) fancied himself a seat at a table in our establishment. Only problem was that his balls were hanging out.

If you think you read the above statement wrong, or that I'm using some kind of metaphor, I assure you I'm not. No, his balls were literally hanging out. Didn't help that his legs were splayed wide open, so that the whole world and it's children could see. It goes without saying that we kicked his ass out.

Incident #2: A group of friendly people from the methadone clinic decide that they would like to enjoy a nice Mcdonalds lunch. They were generally friendly, aside from the point at which they tried to fucking kill each other right inside the store.

Okay, so it wasn't that bad. It was only a little tussle. And by that, I mean two of the girls were beating the shit out of each other. After myself and two other coworkers went to work breaking it up, one of the ladies tried to steal the other's purse. Yeah, so you see where this story is going.

Incident #3: I'm not gonna even try to butter this up, some fucking dumbass tried to use someone elses receipt to get some free food. Why am I mentioning this when this probably occurs in every store everywhere? Because of how fucking hilarious this particular incident was. Not only did the receipt happen to be an order I had rang up on my register myself, it also happened to be an order I also gave out myself. He even tried to claim I rang him up initially. I guess he assumed I was gonna stick out for a fellow brotha (this would be the second time today that someone assumed I would "look out" for them just because they were black too, but that's another discussion for another thread.)

Those are the most notable incidents today, and they go a good way towards showing the kind of shit I deal with every single day at that job.

All for 7.25 an hour.

Not that easy when you have to pay for both books (my calculus book runs 200$, about a third of my two-week check), tuition, help out with the house, buy a weekly transpass (20$ a week), and all the other living expenses.
