So, Astronomers have found the coldest place in the solar system, and no, it's not Pluto or any of those crazy fake planets at the edge of our solar system, it's actually on our moon, the south pole of the moon to be exact at -397 degrees, just about one degree colder than Pluto..

Which I think is Bull shit.

The Moon has spots colder than Pluto? I guess the permanent shadows in certain spots and the lack of atmosphere really does do a lot...

It think they're wrong too.

Clearly the moon is using it's gravitation pull to manipulate the thermostats.

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL SIG. FUCK YOU.

I'd imagine the coldest place to be somewhere in deep space, where not even stars shine on.
I think what they meant was the coldest known place, because there's bound to be lower.

If they took a temp. reading from a probe on Pluto then it could have been summer on Pluto?

I'd figured the coldest place in the Solar System would be Uranus!

Zing!

But really, once the New Horizons spacecraft arrives at Pluto in 2015 and get some better readings I'm sure that it will prove that it is the coldest place in the Solar System.

Sounds believeable, with the lack of an Atmosphere and all. Speaking of which, I wonder how cold the South Pole of the moon would be if we had a Red Star?

If your reading this, then why do you care?

I bet the coldest place in our solar system is on Earth.

But why do you use the Fahrenheit system? I don't get why that is still around.

I would have guessed that the coldest place in the solar system would be on one of Uranus' moons.

Gentlemen, we must search for Absolute Zero. It's probably in black holes.

Smaller numbers make for more exact calculations.

I sure they said Absolute Zero was -193 degrees or something, this thread has me very confused...

Yeah, its not like we need the moon. All it does is take up space and I have to see it every night, so..We should nuke the moon.

Right?

After you
Also black holes might be incredibly fucking hot because of the density of them.

I thought nebulas were more on the hot side, considering all the activity going on in them.
Typically cold places don't have molecules smashing about.

That's what I was thinking, surely the coldest place would be someone where there's nothing to hold the energy, like a vacuum.
