I realize my upbringing had many perks that other kids didn't, my dad owned his own business and he was home every night, I was brought up in a church that taught good morals, my best friends lived mere blocks away, I never had any needs that were never met, and most of my wants were also met.
I've worked harder than most kids have though, I worked every summer since before I can even remember, and when I was old enough for a real job I got up anytime between 4:30am to 5:00am four days during the school week and worked until 7:30 where I'd go home to get ready for school.
Until a couple of months ago I was working two jobs, one for my dad and one tending bar. I had four paychecks every month so I could be where I am now. I recently bought a truck (Userpage) and I'm about to spend about $10,000 learning how to be a commercial pilot.
I love it how poor people blame everyone but themselves for their laziness to go out and get a job, they may not have all the breaks that some of us middle/upper class people have, but they sure as hell don't have any sort of ambition to dig themselves out of the sewer they call a life.
