I cant believe Serena Williams would cuss out and threaten the line judge for calling a foot fault at the us open!! it was crazy bc she got a point penalty that cost her the match.
I have never seen serena act this way and it makes me mad to see how she would say something like that... it sucks for her opponent who was like wtf after she won the match bc of serena..
What do u guys think, is serena stupid for doing what she did?

You have to look at it this way, she's in a fast paced game that's placing people in the top. She's got to be having adrenaline and also stressing about winning. She probably just lost it under pressure. It happens to everyone.

well yea but the same for a guy who is playing football and has their adrenaline up. they arent going to go and cuss out some person and threaten them just cause they are mad about a point even if it is one of the last points of the game.. she is stupid for not being able to control herself

Sure, it was a little excessive, and was probably pretty scary for the judge, (Serena is a beast) but I mean, it really just shows me that what she is doing really means a lot to her. Passion. I don't see the big deal really.
I had only to wish that there be a large crowd of spectators the day of my execution and that they would greet me with cries of hate.

You have to remember she was in the heat of the game, and thought that the line judge had made a mistake. IMO I think it was stupid of the line judge to call Serena out on it for threatening to "kill her" even though all Serena said was she was going to stuff a tennis ball down her throat.

yea.. the line judge was a b**ch... u would never call out a footfault that close to match point even if it is one. they arent suppose to that late in the game. but serena should have kept her cool and stayed with the match instead of waste it all for nothing

The line judge was already kind of pissed at Serena because she broker her racket after the first set. So she was probably trying to be kind of a smart ass to Serena but she almost deserved it. I understand how hard it is to keep your cool, and at a professional level it can't be easy, but she should really haven't have taken it so seriously like that. I mean that was almost a death threat had it been outside of the court.

I kind of like to look at it from the "who cares, she's a female tennis player" angle in that it doesn't really matter what she does because I don't know a single person who even follows tennis.
