Shane MacGowan was born in my town, a fact I always loved. And he even attended school at one of the nicest posher private school here too when he was a bit older.

Sid Vicious also lived here for a few years and attended school at one of the most rubbish common public school here.

We have some decent people from surround towns too. Dame Kelly Holmes was born in Hildenborough and raised in Tonbridge (the town next to mine), her dad lives in this town and is known by everyone.

And Ian Hislop lives in Cranbrook, not too far from here ^_^
