I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift at all but that's just bang out of order imo, she was nearly crying. Kanye's done some pretty low acts before but this has got to be his lowest.

I only became aware of this earlier today, when GiantDouche made another thread on it. I don't really know all that much about Kanye West, but I've glanced briefly at some of the things you guys have mentioned that he's done before. I'm not entirely sure if he was being racist directly (and/?)or whether it was just an ego thing (something that you can pick up without really knowing who he is!). It's unfortunate that we get that kind of backlash about it, as in "He got away with it because he's Black.". I'm sure White celebrities have gotten away with similar things in the past, although I don't have any direct sources. To be honest, most of my favourite artists/musicians/writers/etc. are or were pretty unpleasant people at hear;. Kanye West just seems to be louder than them unfortunately, leading to silly things like this.

I don't know much about these things like I say. It's just sad to see the debate in the aftermath :(

As for whether or not it was scripted, it didn't look that way to me. Taylor Swift did look pretty distraught, and then there was a mess up with the sound and everything to make it worse, I hear (I've only seen a short clip). I know you can't usually tell a celebrity how to do anything, but if he was drinking before the show, then he was responsible for anything he pulled while under the influence, as always. The blog apology? That seems pretty impersonal considering how confused/sad Taylor Swift looked after he left. Still, who knows?
