So I have never played a halo before but i decided this would be a perfect time to jump on board. People who don't have Halo 3 get the best deal out of this because Halo ODST comes with two discs. One with the campaign and firefight mode, and the other has ALL the halo 3 multiplayer maps, plus the three new ODST maps. THATS WHY ITS $60!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THATS WHY ITS NOT TOO EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. at least for me. Anyway Gamertag is... rugburn215

So you're paying $60 for an expansion, a bunch of old maps, and something that should be included in the game anyway? Well, I guess you're only overpaying by $15-$20, maybe $10.

I've never been so interested by any "universe" as much as Halo, not even other universes in movies and other video games other than Fallout.

Halo 3's story disappointed me very much, but the universe's story is very very interesting to me. Like Starship Troopers, I'm interested in future concepts of military, and military in general.

Halo's stories are wide and expansive, and ties into many interests I have which includes politics, space, engineering, counter-insurgency, special forces, toughness, etc.

Contact Harvest's story about the Insurrectionist war captivates me. Plus the whole story about the Halo rings and the Covenant's radical belief about them also is very interesting to me. Halo was actually the first story in a video game I was truly ever interested in.

The books are very well written and are very entertaining to read. I had so much fun playing the game and being wrapped in the story, I love reading about it. I couldn't care less about other people's opinions.

The hell are you talking about? That means nothing. Not only is it in the name that it is adding on to a previously released game HALO 3: ODST but there are a handful of other expansions that you don't need to original game to play. It's called a stand alone expansion pack.

Enjoy spending/wasting your money on a video game. I have no problem with the Halo franchise, Bungie, or Microsoft and I understand how you are successful in the entertainment software industry. Still, that does not hide the fact that Microsoft is breaking the traditional norms for its entertainment software tactics.

Just because I cited Wikipedia doesn't make it illegitimate, what are you a teacher? I was correct and you simply weren't. Regardless if the expansion is $60 it is still an expansion. It being overpriced is another whole discussion.
