DotA is pointless.

Seriously, every time I go inside an internet café, I see the same people playing the same game everyday. How can DotA be fun? It's pointless. what you just do is buy stuff, go to battle (which is actually just watching your allies attack the enemies and gaining experience points just by damaging them once then running like hell.), leveling up, and owning someone (which actually takes you 15-30 minutes by just trying to kill someone). It's such as waste of time, and when I ask a DotA player what's great about the game they reply something like "It has a good replay value and gameplay not to mention the graphics are better than Xbox and PS3 games". Give me a break, how can monotonously hitting someone with the same action script be fun? Gameplay, it's infuriating, the game has a steep learning curve how can that be fun!? The graphics- do you people live in a rock? the graphics are obsolete just look at it, there's no ragdoll physiques, blur, blooming effect and 128 bits graphic texture, that's eye candy for you people!?

As a conclusion, much of society is close-minded to discover better recreational activities.

Last time I checked, no one was forcing you to play dota. Christ, why go through the effort of complaining about it?

Warcraft 3 still has plenty of other community made maps, not to mention the actual core gameplay.

If you don't like it, don't play it. Don't whine about how much everyone else sucks because they enjoy dota.

I don't get my ass kicked, I've played the game and you just need to have some strategy, learn some items, how they work 4 skills then you're off to go, which wastes a lot of time... play a more straight to the point game.

Just because someone got their ass kicked, doesn't mean that they hate the game. In fact, getting your ass kicked is sometimes part of the fun value. I know I got my ass kicked in several games and I liked them.

I play the game in an internet cafe. FYI it's a map, you can't buy it, it's a free download. And I practice if I get my ass kicked, not whine or contemplate about it.

I played it for about a year then it got all boring. Its quite ok though when playing with friends but sucks with AI . I've quite it for much better games but my friends are still hooked on to it.
