3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI know that you might think that nothing is nothing but you are wrong.
Nothing is actually something. It is something because nothing is the absence of anything and anything is everything. And what I mean by that is that when there is nothing there you can imagine something there. You can imagine anything and everything there. So nothing is something because it is everything.
So hopefully what I just said made sense to you and hopefully you have come into agreement with me that nothing is something.
Just chillin' like always.
Exactly, nothing is you, and you are nothing.
kthxbai.
The human mind cannot comprehend nothing, that's why we say nothing is just "black" etc.
It's the same as we cannot comprehend 4 physical dimensions. Because if we did figure it out, our heads would explode.
It's kinda weird... I actually know what you're on about.
NoTHING is still a thing. It's kinda hard to explain without ample grasp of quantum physics and other related weirdness, but the idea has been around for a while.
Damned if I know how to put it into words, though. Rats...

And since nothing is something that means I am something and therefore I exist!

is nothing is something then are we really thinking about nothing? or are we think aobut something that we get the impression is nothing when in fact it is really nothing but something? thats the impression people get when you turn round and say nothing is something. they would think that as nothing being something then when people say nothing, they are actually doing something?
Mindfuck.
Destroyed.

Regrettably, you do indeed.

Even if I am just an imagination I am still considered real cause imaginations are real. It's real because you can see them and hear them. If they weren't real there was no way we could see them or hear them which we can!

I totally understood every word you just said.
Nothing is the label for something that lacks anything therefore i agree with you that nothing is in fact something, Although nothing may not be tangible it is a recognized description to present a lack of anything tangible.
When you open a box and find nothing inside, that empty space has a title a description and a reaction.
everything wether it exists or not is something since we label them.
Find something we have not given a description of and that truly will be nothing, BUT then again as soon as you see something -(or nothing)- that was never encountered by man, to us it becomes something.
Even if it is nothing.
Awesome thread - I love wrapping my head around silly little conundrums

Ah, the philosophical endeavers of understanding the unknown and exploring the vastness of the universe with nothing but the imagination as a guide.
Simply trying to understand why there is a beginning summoned from nothing is enough, and brings the idea that while nothingness is a void of any matter, there is something involved somewhere, and while that is true, what about space, and the edges of the universe! How can there be an end to the universe?! What is beyond the universe?! MY BRIAN IS MELTING!
In addition you cant have nothing from nothing.
But you gotta have something to get with me.

At the end of the universe or beyond it is the void and even the void is something. The void is nothing. Not even nothing. It is even less than nothing but it's still something because the void can rip you apart because there is no gravity in the void and gravity is what keeps you together. If the void can rip you apart then it's definitly real!

If nothing = something, then something = nothing. Therefore, everything = nothing. And believers say God = everything. As a final conclusion, God = nothing.
You just help me disprove God, thanks!

Nothing can be something but something cannot be nothing. Everything is something.
God=everything which means God=something.
