Currently, I only post if I have something to say, but that wasn't always the case.

It's not that hard to get 20+ posts a day if you don't put a lot of effort into your posts. I made 8000 posts in 2008 alone and I was able to do that by not posting anything longer than a few lines as a general rule. But, even if you put a bit of effort in, it's not that hard if you have a lot to say.

If you post 20 times a day every day, that's 140 posts a week. 1000 divided by 140 is 7.1. So, that's 1000 posts every seven weeks. There are 52 weeks in a year. 52 divided by 7 is 7.4. So, 20 posts a day gets you 7,400 posts per year. If you post twice in each thread you post in, that means you only have to reply to 10 threads a day to get 7,400 posts a year. Not that hard.

Besides, how I posted in 2008 doesn't reflect on my social life now.

I agree. 5000+ is a hell of a climb. Especially on a forum where intelligent conversation is a rarity. If your gonna "no life" something, make use of your time. Play a MMORPG or something so you can at least sell the profile later or something.

Wow, it's a lot easier to get tons of posts than I thought...

But yeah, it's easy to put up a lot off posts and at the same time easy to put up very few. I only have like 750 posts but I'm on here a lot, I just don't post too much.

You must also have no life, needing to criticise anothers' life in this way.

You could easily do that a couple a years ago but now theres not enough threads worth posting in to do that.

I signed up in 07 with almost 7,000 posts, big deal.
I don't consider it as having no life, I have a girlfriend, I go to school, I go out on weekends all the time.

I just try to keep a lookout for anyone who has more posts than me, because at least there's someone who has it worse. Seeing as how the guy with the most (ZeroAsALimit) has over 49,000, I don't think I'l be beating that record anytime soon.

I suspect a lot of these people go on and post several "cool story bro" or "grab her dick" posts and sign off. It wouldn't take very long, and they'd rack up their post count pretty quickly.
