Some of you may have noticed little things that girls do that get your attention. I'm sure you've sat next to a girl only to find that she's pressed right up against you and not the guy on her other side. Maybe she's even done things like press her arm against yours for a few seconds to touched your feet with hers.

Sure, maybe if a girl you had been talking to for a while might do this because she likes you, but what if you don't know her? What if you're like me and a (cute) girl whom you've never met sits right the fuck next to you in Chemistry 201 only to start doing these things for an entire 75 minute lecture?

Is it intentional? Is she trying to get your attention without an awkward hello? Does she simply have no proprioception or idea of where her limbs are in space? Does she think you're cute? Is she just toying with you?

Shit, if this girl grabbed my thigh I'd place my hand on hers in an instant. I'd kill to have her be THAT forward. The problem lies in how subtle she really is. She bumped my foot, and I didn't move it, and so we were actually left touching feet for about 5 minutes before she moved it. She also reaches out and brushes my arm with her elbow every once in a while while she's taking notes.

I'm also not going to see this girl 'til Tuesday, and that's assuming she sits next to me again. Odds are she won't considering the class has like 150 people in it and 200 seats.

From what it sounds like, you haven't even talked to this girl yet. If you had, you probably would've had a better appreciation for what her feelings regarding you were. It's possible that the passive gestures she is making are signs of affection towards you, but that's a bit unlikely if the two of you are still strangers.

Try to find an opportunity to instigate a conversation. Doesn't have to be much, you could just joke about how long the class is taking or how much homework they're giving out, it really doesn't matter. The point is this: you're not going to find out anything one way or another if you just sit there quietly, so start talking.

Yes, fully understood. We only have class twice a week though, which means I have to wait until Tuesday just to potentially see her again. Of course I'll say hi if she sits next to me again. She also had a friend with her though, who she clearly was content talking to, otherwise I would have spoken up in the couple minute break in the lecture we had today.
