It'd be great to have one, huh? What we have now is a "Remember-it-until-the-test-is-over-and- then-never-worry-about-it-again" system. I'm tired of learning "what" and not "why."

The only thing "why" will tell you is the logic behind it. Not how to do it. I bet you'll think differently once you get into college.

I have to agree, For an equally amount of things, most things are just there to learn until after the test. You won't most likely remember all of it after it.

I've actually figured out in my 9 years in the American Education System that if you remember it after the test you do actually use it else where in life. You just have to look hard.

There are many, many things wrong with our system, but I'm gonna call all of you out on something. In our society, we discourage intelligence, and reward stupidity. A lot of the problem is our youth's desire to fail. Defend it all you want, but you know I'm right. I'll admit I could've done more. I actually kinda wanna go back to school for a while.

If you are told that 5 x 6 = 30, you know 5 x 6. If you are told that 5 x 6 = 30 because N x 6 = N+N+N+N+N+N, you know how to do multiplication.
