liljim has already said that he's disabled anything that is improperly configured, too much of a strain on a server, or taking too long. Profile search is down, too, and off the top 50 list menu (so maybe for good again).

well he must have just disabled the search because it was fine a few minutes ago.

We think it was either something going on at our hosting facility or our bandwidth provider.

I disabled the text search early on in the weekend and it's still down (and hasn't been up since first being disabled).

Hmm. From what I've seen during downtime, and read here, It appears to be a combination of things: Badly timed sever self-resetting, some really annoying DNS error, and computers being computers, and just refusing to work properly.(hey, everyone needs their kicks sometime. Hell, even me - ed)
Well, hasnt anyone thought that it might just be an unfortunate series of events?(no, not the books, dumbass - ed). It could just be one single insignificant number typed in wrong, which up until now has not been required, and all this was caused by a simple typu. typi. (oh, f*** it - ed).
Remember, we must not lose perspective here folks, we must keep sight of our goal (yeah, i know its clichéd, but isnt everything? - ed) We must strive to make Newgrounds a better website, we must submit funnier comedies, more gripping action movies, more addictive games, but most important of all, we must respect Tom and Wadefor the fantastic site they have brought us, and support them in every possible way.
(But if it is caused by sum malicious w*****, then i'm booking front row seats for the show........)

Ya know... I been thinkin about this... and I know most of you'll all be like "No fuckin way! I cant live without my NG! What the fuck are you thinkin???" But...

... I say they shut down Newgrounds for a couple of days so they can fix whatever they can so we dont have as many problems... They shut it down before to fix it, why not do it again? I mean, seriously guys, I think we can live without NG for a couple of days while they try to fix it all.

IF that'll even work for this sort of problem... I dunno, it was just an idea...

If you people think you had it rough my internet was down for a day and a half and thatn the new grounds proplem came up as sppn as my internet came back so i nearly went insane with all this down time

hey guys whats up, every time i vote, my browser downloads a file called "myemessenger.exe" now seeing as i am on a mac this obviously doesnt effect me, but i dont like downloading 1.2mb files every time i vote. oh and loading time is still a bitch, mind you it shouldnt have anything to do with me being in australia. this all aside, i support all down time as long as this stuff gets fixed. keep it up guys!
