Story idea for an animator

This is a story I've been working on for a few weeks, and thought it might make a goood flash series. It a type of drama/romance/comedy thing. I guess it's a romantic comedy.

I like romantic comedies, fuck off already.

Description:
Grace is a designer in a large (unnamed) city with a terrible pill problem who goes out drinking far too often. One night, slightly drunk and mostly high, she sees a man bleeding in an alley. He says his name is Wade, and he was just hit by a car who took off without stopping. She fumbles around with her phone and calls 911, but when the paramedics arrive she starts to feel woozy and ends up in the ambulance with Wade. She wakes up the next morning in a hospital bed, stomach freshly pumped, and the nurses tell her that her "boyfriend" took her purse and went home. After furiously leaving the hospital she finds her way home, only to find that wade had used her ID to find her apartment, and let himself in foor a shower and a meal. Over time, the two see more and more of eachother, fall in love, yada yada. But theres a problem, Grace discovers that Wade was never hit by a car, but was left in that alley by the henchmen of a mob boss who Wade had borrowed money from. With a weakness for gambling, Wade lost all the money and was in quite a fix.

Will Grace be able to help Wade and save his life once again? Will Wade get whacked? Will anyone get sober?

So you pretty much want someone to animate your idea for you. Gotta tell ya you're not going to find that many able bodied animators to do the work for you. If you want to bring your idea to life animate it yourself, and if you don't know how then nows the time to practice.

Also, why would Grace see Wade more after he barged himself into her house and stole her things?

Why would I do it myself? I'm not an animator, I'm a writer. It's what I do. As far as the two seeing eachother, you'd really have to read the 5th chapter to find out. I swear it makes sense. Lets just say Grace tends to be a hopeless romantic when she's not a drunken mess or a raging bitch.

I like to think of myself as a writer myself as well, but I've been learning flash so I can actually bring my ideas to life. You can label yourself whatever you want, but it won't get anything done.

You think of yourself as a writer. I am a writer. I write, people give me money for it. It is one of my main incomes. What happens when an animator can't think of an idea or gets bored with a certain style? He gets himself a writer if he's smart. Thats the kind of guy I'm looking for.

But you're not quite getting it either

As stated, the people who learn flash generally do so to bring their own ideas to life. As a rule of thumb, the better the animator, the less interested he/she will be in producing your idea. You may be a great writer but writing is arguably one of the easier pillars of content production in the flash world. Writing is very important for movies, tv shows, etc, but we're talking about independent animators that are used to producing short segments.

If you have a great writer that can't animate, and a great animator that can't write, one of them is still going to be able to put out a product to show at the end of the day.

I think if you keep looking and ignore the asshats then you will find your animator. it will be hard but im sure someone would do it.

Noted, but with all due respect I have to disagree. A great writer that can't animate can still produce books, articles, songs, poems and whole slew of other things, and a great animator that can't write can create stunning visuals, but might lack substance. I think the two are equally important in any creative process, flash or otherwise.

honestly, reading a story in a book doesnt mean its not alive, and most of the time in real, not amature movies theres a writer that doesnt do anything else

BUT 99% of animators tend to be very imaginative and able to create their own stories and ideas just in everyday life, seeing as how you have to be quite imaginative to do the things they do.
You'd have to look extremely hard for an animator that doesn't have any ideas.

You won't find many people like that on here, good ones anyway. People tend to learn animating on Flash to animate their own stories not anothers. But it seems all of my arguing is falling on deaf ears, if we really can't stop you, then continue your search. Just remember it's not a search that has a high sucess rate. And cool your an actual writer, that's pretty neat. Got anything published?
