One of the most technical death/thrash metal bands that I have heard. Hard as fuck to play along to, harder to play along with a band.

Lamb of God, Machine Head, Metallica, Cavalera Conspiracy, Moonspell, The Human Abstract, Killswitch Engage, H.I.M, Slipknot, Korn, Cradle of Filth, BFMV, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Soulfly, Angra, Amon Amarth, Pantera, Dark Tranquility... They are my main preferences. I am not very into Thrash, I like a lot of Metal, Hardcore bands. I more into Nu Metal, Metalcore, Melodeath... I like violent music with a mix of emotional but not emo at all, that's it.

you say that metallica and anthrax sold out? imo, they just evolved, exactly like you are talking about. when you are a band thats been around for 25 years or so you have to let your music evolve into places you didnt origianlly intend to go. If metallica had released Kill em All or Ride the Lightning clones for every album, they wouldnt have made more than 3 and then ppl would stop listening and the label would drop them. so basically what you want is for your favorite thrash bands to "sell out".

As a matter of personal taste, generally I prefer to stick to old school thrash.

Jesus Christ, that reminds me, I haven't really listened to any thrash at all in about 2 weeks.
