We've had school in suburban New York since the original Sep. 11th (didn't even go home early, iirc), without taking a single Sep. 11th off. A mere announcement on the PA System is all we get. Which is kinda all we need, we don't get Pearl Harbor day off, or VE or VJ day off, or the day the Civil War started, or the day of the Boston Tea Party... tragedy combines into Memorial Day, and victory into Veteran's Day. If we had every tragedy off, we'd never do anythi- oh I see what you did thar.
