I try not to be such a huge geek but sometimes it just doesn't work. My dad knows i love comics i'm not hugely interested in the superhero genre but even i was amused by what he said..he said "is Marvel going to make another Superman movie?" i let out a loud snort and laughed as i thought how silly he is to think that superman belongs to MARVEL (someday...bitches) after my snort he was like "WHAT was that?" i looked away ashamed...nerds of the world do NOT snort...you are just begging for mockery but doing that...

Is it hard to keep down your geek?

I have a hard time trying to NOT blurt out scientific facts and statistics and whatnot. Usually it's very unimportant and most likely uninteresting to a normal person, but I just like to share facts with people.

It doesn't help that my education is 1/2 school related and 1/2 video games

I am lol

Fantasys like....how weird it would be if Spiderman could shoot web out his butt and swing around like that...or if the invisible man walks around naked....or how freaky it would be for one guy to have all the Xmen powers? one and two would kinda disturb people lol.

I imagine NG users as superheroes and give them detailed backstories. You tell me if that's weird.

I believe that geeks have more balls than jocks or anyone who has to join a sport to prove that they are man. Where's the brains if you're working on brawn all of the time?

And seriously, geeks can wear whatever kind of clothing they've got and not have a care in the world who says otherwise. Plus they could have the talk to back up what they're trying to say; anyone who argues with a geek/nerd is a persistent asshole who deserved to be shot.

in more ways than one, geeks, nerds alike are just being themselves and they have the knowledge to know that the world around them is just confused and lost. So I say, don't give a shit about what everyone says around you, we're all who we want to be.

Why suppress your inner feelings?

Personally I don't care if people think I'm a nerd or geek. I'll admit to having no life *Thumbs up*

I've come to the conclusion that my nerd cannot be kept down, so I've been embracing it. I bring my dice with me wherever I go, instead of giving new friends my number, I give them my Steam ID, I make Star Wars references on a regular basis, and the main topics of conversations between my boyfriend and I are Magic, FPS's, and Joss Whedon.

It's a good thing.

Plays Magic the Gathering-Check
Watches Scifi-Check
Enjoys School-Check

It's kind of hard for me when I talk about video games and stuff to my friend. I don't hid it it's just I don't try.

I enjoy being mildly geeky because most people are okay with it. It's hardcore geeks that get the unwanted cheap shots and other mean spirited gestures. I'm very open about my gamer lifestyle, I will neither promote or demote science fiction literature or films, and I never put someone down if they watch cartoons made in different countries.

Let's see who was a geek:
Julius Caesar
Bill Gates
Albert Einstein
Napoleon Bonaparte
Issac Newton

Where did they end up? As some of the greatest minds in all of human history, that's what.

I'd rather die a Wolf fighting against the Herder, than die a Sheep heading for the slaughter.

1. Stabbed
2. Bill Gates successful.
3. Enduced the suffering of millions because of his Nuclear bomb.
4. Overthrown and abandoned on a desert island.
5. Lived a long fulfilling life...but alone and mostly hated for his ideas.

You need to really research your history

I'm only mildly "geeky" since I enjoy computer games a lot, even the ones that notoriously geeky (to an extent) like World Of Warcraft.

It's not religion which will destroy us, be the root of social discomfort and cause conflict but misinterpretation.

I can't think of any real geek moments I've had. Nothing I consider geeky.

There was one time when someone said that the Ferengi were from TOS, but knowing that they were from TNG isn't really...geek. At least, I don't think it is.

I got annoyed with her when she said that, maybe that's what makes it geeky.
