The other day, my parents dragged me to a dull party with all of their old, rich friends and I asked some lady there how she picked her job. She said that she had just wanted to be a nurse for as long as she could remember (probably a few weeks) and that even if you're not sure what job is right for you, you'll tend to end up in the right place.

This got me thinking: What if Hitler hadn't had any involvement whatsoever with politics? What job would he have fallen into? I'm totally stumped, but if you have a theory, please explain why you think that job would suit him (please don't use this to bash some workforce group that you hate, try to keep the discussion intelligent).

Hitler applied to an art college first, after which he was rejected (apparently for not creating "true" art), ended up homeless for three years, and started reading anti-Semitic brochures. And that was where his career as a politician started.

Had the art college accepted him, we probably wouldn't even be familiar his name if we weren't Germans. We'd be prattling on about some other dictator who started World War II, possibly Stalin. Or we could be in the middle of WW2 right now. No way to tell.

I heard he aspired to become and artist or architect, though his exemplary military actions displays his bravery though he was a ruthless and brutal man.

i dont know if i would call his military actions being exemplary but he was said to be such an amazing public speaker that he put a spell on you every time you heard him speak (scream at you)

with this being said i think he could have been a great motivational speaker... it makes me laugh thinking of getting motivated to screw on a million bottle caps in 8 hours "the hitler way"

hitler running out from backstage in a cream and brown pinstripe suit hands in the air acting super excited throwing stress balls and itchy trucker caps to all the minions of a factory... its totally up his ally

His time as a foot soldier in World War I actually is worth mentioning. Apparently he had a habit of being in a particular spot, and leaving it just before it got mortared.

He made it to "Gefreiter" (Br. lance corporal/U.S. Private first-class), according to Wikipedia. "Colonel," as you were referring to, is an extremely high rank just below General; Hitler wasn't in the army long enough to get that far.

Obviously the man's gentle nature and love of life would have drove him to start a homeless shelter where he would have baked cookies for the homeless children all day long while singing cheery tunes. =3

though his exemplary military actions displays his bravery.

And survival skill! Not many 40 somethings can take a job with an average lifespan of 15 seconds (army messenger) and survive for the inevitable promotion and iron cross. Or survive a DIRECT HIT ON THEIR TRENCH. I think he would be an angry version of Houdini! Or....

And we may have never known the atom bomb.

And all the time Hitler's scraping a living in his military police job writing air headed schemes making scorned advances at his half nephew, whilst Neville Chamberlain get's a second term as prime minister.

I'm honestly shocked by everyones answers...

The topic discusses how everyone inevitably ends up in their proper place in the universe. So lets look at the qualities that Hitler has and see what job today, aside from brutal dictator, fits the description...

Pro Aryan/ Anti Semitic (so lets say he was highly opinionated)
Had influence over millions
Possessed great power
Married a celeb

Uhhh...didn't family guy answer this question then?

Yes, but notice how the buildings are perfect, and the people only half make sense. Now gasp and widen youre eyes.

For you have looked through the skull of Hitler.

People in Main would've gotten too offended by this thread's implications (like what else Nazis would've enjoyed, and how we might be inclined to judge such jobs after considering them), and this is more about political opinions than "anything...NG related."

Hitler didn't had ANY involvement in politics, in fact he even set in prison for while
he got the power he had with force, and he was a dictator so it wasn't really his JOB.

if that's not "true art" I wonder what they DO consider true art? With proper training, hitler could have been a damned fine artist. Buildings are easy to draw. people, not so much. I personally suck at drawing people.
