What is the world coming to lol? A 61 year old man smacked a child for crying in Wal-Mart. He told the mother "if you don't shut her up I will!" Oh yea, slapping the child will cease the tears...

I agree that kids screaming in a store is annoying, but this guy is an asshole. How do we know the mother wasn't already trying to shut her up? Besides, kids cry for many reasons. Maybe they were there getting her medicine for the ear infection making her cry? The article only says the kid was crying, not that she was throwing a tantrum, running around, or wrecking the store.

If I ever have kids, I'LL be the one to shut them up if they scream their heads off in the store. If that guy had smacked my kid, TWO people would have gotten arrested. I'd have beaten the crap out of him for putting his hands on my kid.

I hate the fact that a total stranger did it, but parents should grow some fucking balls (metaphorically) and give thier children a cuff around the ears whenever they throw a tantrum.
