They actually show you what is happening on the floor. I've been watching it a little bit this morning and they almost always avoid answering or even acknowledging political questions.
Looking at Reuters its at least more of a report than something trying to predict. I think if you're just looking for basic facts for a gloss over they are fine.
I think if you are looking for something that delves into deeper sociological issues, Time tends to be good for that.
If you want to know what pundits are talking about, people who are literally paid to do nothing but say what they think is right until they run out of things to say and have to repeat themselves or say something outlandish for ratings then you can watch MSNBC, Foxnews, or CNN. Foxnews is always fairly right wing. CNN is center left, and I've never bothered to watch MSNBC.
If you want satire where everyone is made out to be the complete idiot they are and sometimes aren't, watch The Daily Show and the Colbert Report. You still hear a little bit about stuff, but at least they are honest about what the media really is.
