The turret Vs. reaver fight in the last act on Gears of War 2. I had a big screen tv, tint color and light turned to it's max, and I changed the controls sensitivity, but I still BARELY managed to pass this act by myself.

overwhelming?
tedious?
long?
glitchy?
a combination? Either way, it's all about learning how to beat the hard parts. It's always time consuming
I'd say that a game where you're one person, going up against a giant army in one single battle, is a hard game.

Megaman for the NES is crazy assed hard.

Apparently there was a game about the silver surfer from Fantastic Four, and it was like Megaman except no health, but I haven't played it so... yeah >_>

It depends of if you mean "Intenetionally hard and wants to wrestle you to the floor and make you his bitch" or "So hard because the controls are utter crap, even though it's a good game"

Hardest games I can remember playing are Ikaruga, Ghost and Goblins, and this old NES Castlevania.

Ones hard because of shit controls are Castlevania 64 and Hex.
Both of them are pretty old platformers.
