3.79 / 5.00 3,779 ViewsSo, I went do Gamestop earlier today to pre-order Halo 3: ODST (okay, you can hate me if you want). The girl behind the counter told me that there was an update to a release date to a game I have pre-ordered. She said that Starcraft II, which was supposed to come out in November '09 when I first pre-ordered, is now coming out in June 2010.
I mean WHAT THE FUCK? I'm becomming worried that Starcraft II might become the new Duke Nukem Forever, a game which oddly enough, has initials that can be short for "Did not finish." When I first heard a release date, it was supposed to be released in April of last year. Online, there are already gameplay videos and in them, the game looks basically complete. What the hell can be taking Blizzard so damn long?

Balancing, play testing, balancing, play testing, balancing, battle net, perfecting battle net, balancing etc. You get the idea. The game will be worth the wait, just wait longer.
I think theres pretty much no turning back now that people signed up for beta optins. Its gonna happen.
The delay for 2010 was actually the first official delay for the game, so its only natural Blizzard delays their games once or twice, even though they give the good ol "when its ready".
Itll come, just wait.

PS - Gamestops date are phony bologna. They make up dates to get pre orders, although June does sound right.

Message me if you ever want to play SFIV or BlazBlue on XBOX Live!
I also enjoy Quake Live.

Leaks dont count. The company wasnt purposely showing the game. DNF was half way done when they stopped, which is a real shame.

11 units per faction as I heard, or as I heard would happen according to past games, that doesn't sound like it's worth the wait.
Good.

First of all, thats wrong.
Second, number of units doesnt really decide how good the game is. Its going to surpass the original starcraft in every way.

Oh thank God.
And lots of units doesn't make a good game, but 11 units is WAY too low, I like games with a lot of replayability, and a lot of unit variety, that's why I hated Supreme Commander, there are a lot of units, but they all look and feel the same.
Good.

Yeah, Supreme Commander was hard for me to get into, its really an eye candy game. Economy management felt really hard to get used to, and the units' purposes overlapped.
A few more things about SC2 before I leave(Ive done my homework on this stuff):
- Its singleplayer mode will be very different from multiplayer, and will give you choices in tech.
- It currently has more units than the original, and will have many old and new units in the map editor.
- It has 2 expansions planned.
- The Map Editor is awesome, it can change the game completely.
- Bnet is still free.

Blizzard is holding it back because WoW:Cataclysm is being worked on.
Starcraft 2 looks like crap already. Just buy Dawn of War 2. honestly, you'll hate blizzard after playing this game. DoW2's graphics are already better that SC2 and I'm willing to bet $50 that SC2's gameplay will be completely outdated and people will be majorally disapointed. (even though there are poor saps that would eat their own shit if blizzard told them if it was candy).
It is ok to make fun of America. But if you make fun of any other country in a vague or joking way you get banned.

First of all: your comparing only the graphics. Im willing to bet you cant compare gameplay because you havent played it.
2nd: Your comparing a finished game to an unfinished one.
3rd: DoW2 is a different animal from SC2, Ive actually played it and am not just a mindless fanboy.
